It looks at air temperature, water in the air, wind, and sunlight. Three Parts of WBGT Wet-bulb temperature: Measures how water evaporates. This shows how sweat cools the body. It handles humidity. Black globe temperature: Uses a black sphere to measure radiant heat from the sun. Dry-bulb temperature: Measures standard air temperature in the shade. Why WBGT Matters It is more accurate than a standard heat index for people working or playing in direct sun.
