"Rules for thee, not for me" around here. Everyone was giving each other high-fives over Hutson returning to Texas after attending NFL rookie mini-camps and failing to land a spot in the NFL, but now it's "craziness" and "madness" around the country.

I am just waiting for opponents of some of these guys to file countersuits over these players’ eligibility.  Maybe you can play in Baton Rouge, but maybe not in Athens, Fayetteville, etc.

Pretty sure everyone was in agreement the Cole Hutson thing was crazy as well. Teams taking advantage of the rulings isn’t the issue it’s the fact that it’s even possible in the first place.

I think Sankey sent out something about the SEC transfer rules being in place regardless of the court decision. So the guys would have to go back to their original teams I think . Who knows , but my $ is on LSU defying everybody 😂

NIL was meant for one thing. It was to open a new playground for the rich under the guise of helping college athletes. As with everything in modern America, it’ll consume itself soon and won’t be recognizable. It’s also another way to attack higher education. Keep em dumb, etc etc.

Not a popular opinion but it's just stupid if you can sign an actual contract and them return to college ball. Hutson was borderline pushing it but he never signed any contracts. In fact he was already back at Texas furthering his education before he tried to get back on the team.

At some point there has to be a limit to the madness.

It’s an injunction in the state of Louisiana that started this portal. They also want that Ole Miss DT among some others.

If he’s able to transfer out of JMU, Trent Hendrick is the only player that would make sense for Texas to kick the tires on, but I doubt Texas looks at him or any other TRO players.  Plus, I doubt Texas feels comfortable playing in the gray area like that.  Besides LB depth, the roster is already in a good spot.
