I think he is fairly honest and authentic, and there’s no denying how much better the state of the program is than when he took over. But the issues that continue to plague this team fall squarely on Sark. The units led by his top two lieutenants he brought from Alabama have grossly underperformed for several years. And I hate to admit it, but it seems that both Quinn and Arch have regressed somewhat the longer they’ve been coached by Sark (and his third lieutenant, Milwee). Finally, I don’t think this offense has a core identity to fall bacK on in critical junctures of games. I’m rooting for Sark to succeed, but he has to perform on the field and get results. I love Sark. He brought us back to relevance. Nothing would give all of us more joy than him being rewarded for that, but he really is his own worst enemy. Were not blind, we can see the product on the field. The offensive line has been a massive issue for years now. Outside of LT it hasn't been good. Is Flood a good oline coach? Idk maybe, but definitely not in Sarks scheme and system. Banks has put a pretty decent run of te's on the field, but his special teams has gone down hill year after year. Milwee seems to be employed simply because of blackmail. There's no other logical explanation after watching Quinn and Arch regress. Thats why you shouldn't hire "friends" unless you dont have a problem being the prick when its needed. Got rid of PK for Will. Which I think was the right call, But constantly run it back with underperforming coaches on YOUR side of the ball is the literal definition of insanity. Doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. 6 Quote

Arch looked decent outside the two interceptions, he needs to take the sack at times the defense gifted the one touchdown they gave up. The defense line was pushed around much of the second half, couldn’t get the stop when we needed it the offensive line was pretty bad the third quarter special teams = 💩 im not a negative person and dont get the pitch fork mentality, the hardest part of being a longhorn fan is all the Dallas cowboys fans lol 🤘🏻 Soooo the theatre experience was great Mrs. Lincoln ? 1 Quote

He's had every reason to send Banks and Flood packing, yet here we are...same ole story. Time for CDC and Sark to have some serious discussions. Don't get me wrong, PK had his issues. But he pretty much carried Sark during those two semi final runs. He had some bad defensive play last year but he could hardly be called the biggest issue. We hire an arguably even better DC and somehow the issues are even worse. Which tells me Sark wasn't babysitting anything, he's just not as good as he thinks he is. I don't expect it matters what CDC says, Sark is adamant that his O is great and that he can both be the HC and OC. He won't change his mind on that. 3 Quote

I've yet to actually see this. He's had two of the highest graded 5 star QB's in his tenure and neither of them have seemed to progress. Mind you Ewers was a 3 year starter and he was still making the same mistakes he had made in year 1, in year 3. It just is what it is. The OTF staff have said similar before. That it's not that they disagree, they just know that Sark won't let anyone else call plays while he's HC at Texas. 1 Quote
4thandFive Posted 56 minutes ago Posted 56 minutes ago I wish we played hard football. There’s a reason Georgia has eaten our lunch the last few times. Texas, overall, isn’t hard or physical. 4 Quote

He's got a mental block, and who can blame him? He knows he's not playing up to his standard, and he's got the weight of the world on him. Not excusing it, but he's going through the motions right now and Sark hasn't figured out how to get him out of his rut. We are a year and almost half in. I think he is who he is. Quote

Longhorns1 Posted 45 minutes ago Posted 45 minutes ago It was asked earlier in the season: If not now, when? Great defensive and terrific talent everywhere. When do we bench Arch? What if we let KJ take the reins? Arch isn’t ready to move on to the NFL, and KJ can’t sit another year. What if KJ could show his mettle now with the offensive talent, and Arch continues to learn his craft and compete with Dia next year. Quote
