jcash02 Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago (edited) Brad Kellner gives some astonishing stats on how bad the Longhorns offense actually is. Ranked nearly last in college football in numerous categories https://www.instagram.com/reel/DeXOnniD9Q7/?srtk=ZGh3cm0ydmYzdzdn Sark is never gonna demote himself. CDC needs to step in and take the reigns of this. We need an offensive coordinator immediately. Out of 138 teams 104th in yards per play 117th rushing efficiency 124th in 20+ yard plays Highest 3 and out rate of any team in the SEC (worse than OU, A&M and Arkansas is outlandish) Edited 9 hours ago by jcash02 8 2 Quote
MortgageHorn Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago If you had the same players that Texas had but the Head Coach and/or OC at the following schools had this same lineup would be anywhere near this pathetic? Ohio State, Ole Miss, Missouri, LSU, Alabama, Georgia, Indiana, Miami, Notre Dame, SMU 1 Quote

This should have been Sarks most talented offense since he stepped on the 40 and probably within the top 5 hes had as a coach or coordinator....thats flat out embarrassing. Time to start checking egos at the door and start really looking at what the problem is and what needs to be done to fix it. This is the kind of thing that really starts to affect recruiting, team chemistry and confidence...both players and coaches. Hard to trust in something when its been so monumentally bad. 1 Quote

This is all fair. The offense is too talented and Sark is too good of a play designer for the lulls to last as long as they do and for the offense to be this boom or bust. 24 points, 382 total yards and 6.1 yards per play should’ve been enough to win the game. That’s not a bad showing against Oklahoma’s defense. But it’s not the production, it’s the fact this offense can’t bust a grape for about 2/3 of the game. 4 Quote
NothinButDaHorns34 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Pathetic! Yet we got a coach who is adamant that no changes need to be made Quote
TheRoJoShow Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago It’s almost like… maybe… sark is not the offensive genius we think…? 3 Quote
FootLaw Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Yikes. Those are pretty sobering stats. I knew it wasn’t good but that’s flat out bad. Mix that with suspect ST and we may lose 3 or 4 games. I’d like to think Sark sees that and adjusts. History tells me he won’t. Stubborn mentality may get him out on the hot seat. Quote
mmdaytontexas Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Sark, as a recruiter and PR professional, is top-notch. Sark as an OC and HC leaves a lot to be desired. Quote
Jordan91 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I am certain this will all be fixed with a great week of practice. If it isn’t well it really doesn’t matter because there is nothing really wrong anyway. They hired him because of his offensive capabilities. The ones that Kirby loves to just shut down and dance on the sideline in celebration. Quote
AusMOJO Posted 58 minutes ago Posted 58 minutes ago The problem is, people have been saying this for years. But any time you bring it up people don't want to hear it. Sark has done great things for Texas, no one can dispute that. What he hasn't done is field competent and top Offenses. Hell, he fired a guy who had several top defenses at Texas. Which helped carry them to two semi-final appearances and conference title games. Sark can't figure out that he is the problem. He also thinks he can do both because his mentor did it before or something. He also states that it was the reason he was brought to Texas and my dumbass thought he was brought here to be the HC...silly me. Quote
