Longhornlove Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago 4 hours ago, TXFF said: The root cause of the offensive struggles is the OL, not the QB. The offense does fine, both running and passing, when the OL isn't overmatched. Replacing the QB doesn't fix the running game. Unfortunately, there's probably no quick fix for the OL and putting Lacey in is just desperation. The OL was worse last year, as are the QB decisions this year. Arch needs to sit at minimum. I love the kid, he loves Texas and seems to do everything right off the football field, he just isn't getting it done. Quote
WRNC Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago "KJ is dynamic," Texas defensive tackle Hero Kanu said. "He can throw the ball and he can run. People probably think he's more of a runner, but he can really sling it as well. He's really dynamic. He can avoid pressures just by his legs and still have his eyes down the field, making a big-time throw. He's doing a good job progressing and reading defenses and everything." "He's a smooth operator," UT offensive lineman Brandon Baker said. 4 Quote
taxsaver Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago I doubt anyone can beat Arch in practice where you are not getting sacked. Quote

Jordan91 Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago I don’t understand why Texas wants Arch, a guy struggling with confidence and pressure, knowing all week he could be replaced. That just makes his issue worse. Just announce Lacey is starting. 1 Quote

Either way, as the great man Bob Knight said, “The greatest motivator in the world is your ass on the bench. Ass meets bench, bench retains ass, ass transmits signals to the brain, brain transmits signals to the body, body gets ass off bench and plays better. It’s a hell of a sequence.” Hopefully it’s true for Arch if he’s QB1 Saturday Edited 19 hours ago by tedsel76 Context Quote

It's like dropping a nuclear bomb for Arch hysteria in the media. They could have just kept it quiet, said everyone is being evaluated on film and in practice and then made their decision before the game at the report deadline. Arch clearly has his confidence as a player damaged. He didn't need an entire week of extra scrutiny. We're gonna hear "we want KJ" chants in DKR if they trot Arch out there and he continues to play like we've seen all season. 1 Quote

We’ll never know but I can’t imagine there’s much if any confidence in the status quo. Quote
