4thandFive Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago The coaches didn’t forget how to coach. Something is, hopefully not permanently, disconnected in Arch’s head. Quote

Literally happens all the time. The game evolves pretty quickly. We’ve had basically the same core offensive staff and no fresh thoughts from anyone with any sort of pull. We expect Sark to stay on the cutting edge of offensive football while also being the head coach? There’s only so many hours in the day. Quote
akhookem Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Remember “if not now when?” And playoff or bust? (Some said natty/semifinals or bust). We’re 6 games in and have busted. In a dream world, who would be your choice to come coach at Texas if hypothetically Sark was not head coach at Texas after this season? Quote
akhookem Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago What happened to the Jordan Coleman short yardage package? The one that bullied Ohio State in short yardage? Had a handful of 3rd and 4th and shorts and Sark never thought to use it? Quote

Feels like it could have helped on the 4th and shorts. 2 Quote
McCoyColt Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago How do I get the kind of job security Kyle Flood has? I’m trying to figure out how to do a piss-poor job every day and still somehow be considered essential to the operation 2 Quote
HDub1995 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago What do you think is the main issue with the OL? How would you fix it? I am just so surprised at how bad they look at times. Quote

Ok_Longhorn Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago If Texas goes to the portal for QB does that mean losing all 3 scholarship QBs that are set to return? Quote

Joe D Villasenor Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Everyone keeps talking about how Arch is not seeing or ready the defense which is valid but the oline is also not seeing things clearly. Is it a scheme/coaching or player execution thing? Or both? Quote
MBHORNSFAN Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Wild that the offense is worse than last year.... Go back and rewatch some of those games. same issues. Quote
HDub1995 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago @Gerry Hamilton @CJ Vogel does Arch have the ability to make checks at the line? As in, can he do that or does Sark more so have the play and have him run it despite what is being seen on the defense pre-snap? Quote

It really is insane to comprehend. Thought we would simply have too much talent to struggle and also have an improved OL. Nope 1 Quote

watty7796 Posted 1 minute ago Posted 1 minute ago Is there an issue with development on the offensive side of the ball. Quinn and Arch were tabbed as the best recruit in the nation for their respective class. Both to this point have not gotten to or exceeded expectations. Outside of the tackles there has not been great strides there either...Banks has done ok in the TE department but special teams since Joe DeCamilis has been suspect at best. Jury still out on Juluke as 1 year just doesnt have enough data points. WRs are the lone bright spot but its hard to shine when the ball doesnt arrive in a catchable location. Additionally on the offensive side Texas has come out relatively flat. OU UFx2. Last but not least there are so many Mental Errors, penalties/turbovers etc it makes me question the leadership top down for this program. Doesnt appear to have much discipline. Is this a wholesale problem, subpar coaching, players not engaged? ETC. What would be the OTF fix or is it just a patience issue and to much expectation? Thanks fellas for all you do Quote
