whereiend Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) I think Arch could do what Carson Beck did, but I also think Carson Beck rode a good team to a (somewhat lucky) playoff run more than anything else. It's nice being Miami when they get to coast through 90% of the season. We've already played more real teams than they will all season. Edited 3 hours ago by whereiend Quote

Maybe Hayward Howard Sr. was spot on with his call out. My spidey sense went up as soon as we had the issue with TyAnthony Snith right at the start of fall camp. 1 Quote

tedsel76 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Feels like to me he'd go pro as long as he doesn't lose the starting job, He's imperfect for sure but I wonder if the family would rather get him into an NFL situation where he can sit and watch for a bit Quote

Reminds me of before the Miss St game last year. The sports media is pretty unbearable and I think they contribute a lot to it. 2 Quote

Hookem72 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago This kind of clickbait bs is what is wrong with sports media. It has a quote next to pictures of Arch that insinuate Arch is the person being quoted and says in smaller print that it is actually attributed to Ran Carthon. Who the hell is Ran Carthon? A lot of people will read this and feed the other rumors. 2 Quote

It seems like you think he’s legitimately either just not that good or something is broken to the point that he can’t be fixed. I know I’ve seen some of your takes about him recently on the board but everyone else seems to think it’s our system, which part of that even you agree. But everyone else seems to think just get him away from what Sark has taught him and go to another school and he will be in a system that works with his strengths and we will see 2024 or end of 2025 Arch Manning. Do you think if he doesn’t recover this season it won’t really matter where he goes, that he’s just never really been as good as we liked to believe? Quote

Arch and the system/Sark are two different convos. Arch, specifically, is playing the QB position at a woefully bad level despite having three NFL level WR’s around him. He’s making head scratching QB plays that are 7th grade level, and he’s not processing and he’s also been bad in the pocket this year. Throwing the ball beyond the LOS 2 times in a game - never seen that before on any level of football. Doing that in back to back games - never seen that before. His melt down is among the worst I’ve ever seen. That’s not putting all the offensive woes on him, but a lot of it is. Without quality QB play, an offense has zero shot. IMO, he’s leaving 125’ish yards on the field every game and 10-14 points . Never seen a fourth year QB not be able to be trusted to check in and out of bad plays, and have command of the offense before. 1 Quote

I hope he is able to get his head straight, because he seems like a great kid. I know this is all eating him up. I can’t imagine what he could be going through mentally. Are you more leaning towards the side of at this point in his career that if this is how it plays out again tomorrow, he may just not be as good and may do better going to a lower-level school? It’s just so hard to understand exactly what is wrong, and that’s what I hate about how things have transpired. Because ultimately, Sark is the head coach, and if this isn’t the type of offense that works with Arch, he should’ve realized that before this year and tailored it more to what he does well. But I can’t argue with what you’ve been saying about Arch as a player, in any way really. Crap offensive play calling or not, there are things he should be doing that even in a stale offense would work well with even mildly average quarterback play. Quote
