Can we get a weekly red alert 🚨 to not bet on Texas to cover the spread when these clowns are announced as the ref crew?

The guy running the video board during the game vs Ole Miss was rightfully pointing out errors made in the encroachment vs false start calls. (Among many other questionable calls.)

When does the SEC officially announce ref crew assignments for games?

Can Texas formally ask to exclude certain crews if there is a multi-year issue of bad calls with one crew?

Hmmm born and raised in Louisiana with the last name Gautreaux?  Would love to see his splits for LSU games.  Would guess that’s the one team who has somehow less penalties on average with this crew.

How does he still have a job in the SEC after being suspended by the NCAA and also being under investigation for accepting a $68,000 bribe?  His questionable decision making in the Oregon vs Penn State appear to have affected the integrity of that game.  James Franklin accused him of basically stealing the game with phantom holding calls and one-sided officiating.  He needs to go.

I'm the guy who posted those Kevin Mar stats on IT a few years ago.

When I did that research, I reviewed every big xii game that the Kevin Mar crew officiated (including non-Texas games) and used such information to show that the Mar crew treated Texas differently than other teams. I don't think Alex's post means a lot unless he looks at non-Texas games for comparison. He mentions that they call more penalties against Texas than other crews, but it could be that said crew simply throws more flags than other crews. It isn't necessarily unfair to Texas unless they treat Texas differently than others (like the statistics showed the Mar Crew treated Texas).

I call this crew the Gomer Pyle crew. When they do our games we average 11 flags a game. Around 6 with rest of SEC refs. More than eleven now after Saturday. Not sure why but they don't like us. SEC needs to fix their officiating including Mr McGoo in the replay booth. Need a rule like old SWC , schools could block a crew from doing their games if crews like this one or Kevin Marr scumbag. Think all college football would benefit with replay booth set up like ACC where you can see what is going on.

That’s because Texas is undisciplined team.

While Texas plays undisciplined at times...when there is a huge disparity it should be questioned.  Watch a UGA game and see how many freebies Kirby gets.

Gautreaux before and after games...

I would be curious if this crew just generally throws more flags than other crews ?

Maybe they just generally suck lol

Agree, would like to see data on all their games vs other crews. That sample size would be a better analysis. Do they just generally call more penalties vs everyone or is there a tilt vs Texas.

OK, Why does the SEC office ship us a 55 gal drum of Vaseline before every Texas game Gomer does?

Because Texas does it themselves

Good question.  When I watch other games with these clowns, there is always controversy.

Here is what I will say about them.  They are consistently inconsistent.  They consistently call 'ticky-tack' fouls while outright muggings go unpunished.  They consistently call fouls in the fourth quarter that were not fouls earlier.  My suggestion when these guys show up is to get a BIG lead and run clock.

I was at the game. Fans next to me pointed out that several times the officials were reaching for their flags almost immediately and even pulled them out a few times without throwing it.

Essentially they were waiting to see if Ole Miss needed help on that particular play or not.

Absurd stuff.

That being said, nothing in the SEC has reached Big XII levels so far. The Oklahoma State vs Charlie Strong game was the most outlandish thing I've witnessed.

They almost  beat us in last two Vanderbilt games. Many calls they call against us are correct calls. Ole miss game they were not. They sucked. What was different than normal for them in MIss game was they called 8 on them. WE had five calls against us that were terrible. Arch got hit in face with helmet twice no call and Terry once helmet to helmet . Blame that on Mr McGoo in the booth and asshole Herbie ignoring it. Not sure why it is legal to target our QB I am really to the point that to avoid heart attack at 80 years old, i turn the damn thing thing  off if  I see Gomer at the Coin toss. They don't call both ends when we are playing. One i liked best is when they called Illiegal  mothin on our center, If he moved, he must have farted.
