It's harder to go the length of the field consistently against good defensive teams I believe your statement is correct. But, let's expand the "stinger" remark a bit. "We can't cut off your nose to spite your face. Todate, our inability to move the length of the field with a prolonged 'down and dirty' drive can only be accomplished with a super big play (stinger). Frankly, we have been pretty damn good at it...........but we, as Horn fans, simply are NOT accustom to this style. We don't like being pushed around and told what to do. We Are Texas. In short, I think Sark was saying let's focus less on the journey and more on the destination! (just remember that when all we had was Bijon and Roshawn, all we did was run, run, and run some more). Just do what we need to do to get to the Playoffs. Quote
3LegacyHorn Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I like C Robertson - he hs a good heart but that don't get a blitzer blocked. Did Cole Hutson start the season at center last year? Quote
3LegacyHorn Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Anger - Darrell Royal said football games are won by angry men. Anger because the fans don't think you can do the job and should get benched. Saban about Arch " the bench is a really good motivator" Quote

"A stinger is a low-trajectory, low-spin golf shot that pierces through windy conditions and rolls out significantly upon landing" 2. Sark likes to think it's the long developing deep shot. Quote

Rocky P Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago A stinger is your main weapon. What you can repeat with success. Texas stinger is fighting with their back against the wall. Quote
PaulieD Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Is it possible that Coach Sark is so obsessed with having a 'stinger' that his play calling ignores our obvious strengths??? Quote
