NancyS
I just don't see Ewers fixing all of the problems he has right now. He's failing at fundamentals. His head isn't right and that shows in his game. His feet are awful. He can't function in a dirty pocket and when it's clean he's seeing ghosts. I think Manning will be forced to take over after a dismal first quarter. (At lest I hope Sark doesn't leave Quinn in longer than that if he's a mess.) Either way, anxious to see how they bounce back from a sound defeat. 2

NothinButDaHorns34
At this point it just seems like you hate quinn and are hoping for him to fail from your responses in other threads about him lol

I wish he weren't struggling so. However, I'm a realist. I'm not understanding the fierce loyalty by some. If it's broken, fix it. Any other position would have been replaced by now.
Austalgia
I’m tired of these horrible starts and short fields and he’s a big part of that.

goattalk100
I mean the INT he threw was due to Majors whiffing on a rusher, not much Quinn could do there. He’s come back to orchestrate two really solid drives. Stay the course!

FatherofMinky
I don’t think that there’s any question that this team has a lower ceiling with Ewers at QB. I 100% hope the best for the young man. I hope he proves me wrong. He has played better today, stats are better, but he remains indecisive, continues to get self sacked, has left a lot of points on the field. There is no way that the product he has put on the field today would beat a top-tier team such as Ohio State, Alabama, Georgia etc..

rgvhorn80
Yup Quinn is a mediocre QB. Holding this team back. Edited October 26 by rgvhorn80 1
Austalgia
Quinn makes great throws at times when everything is on schedule. He doesn’t make any plays when things break down. That’s ok, but they could be a better team . Hate saying that, I really do like the kid. Hope the best for him and hope he gets better. Can’t give so many short fields. HookemTexas
I’m in agreement with Nancy, Quinn hasn’t shown any growth. And the defense isn’t afraid of anything past 10 yards so they can stack the box on our RBs.

Red Five
He is who he is at this point, which is frustrating because it's so far from what we thought we were getting. The guy who can "make all the throws" has a real problem driving the ball downfield.

When it's there, that's even worse.

Robert Gilbert
I think the OP is very representative of many fans. They have a fair grasp of the game but are not fully cognizant of all the games within the game. Now some of what she said is true but our team will only go as far as Quinn takes us this year. We need to cut down on the penalties (like the targeting call late in the game) and clean up the line play. The Oline has been far more of a disappointment to me than any other area of the team.
