Moderators CJ Vogel Posted Sunday at 07:17 PM Moderators Share Posted Sunday at 07:17 PM A quick rundown of the snap counts for the offense and defense against Arkansas. *** Offense Out of 73 total snaps against the Razorbacks. 73 – Quinn Ewers, Kelvin Banks, Jake Majors, Cameron Williams, Hayden Conner, Gunnar Helm 56 – Matthew Golden 51 – DJ Campbell 44 – Ryan Wingo 42 –Isaiah Bond 40 – Jaydon Blue, Juan Davis 35 – Tre Wisner 25 – Silas Bolden 22 – Cole Hutson 5 – DeAndre Moore 3 – Colin Page 2 – Ryan Niblett – First noteworthy takeaway is DeAndre Moore with just five snaps on Saturday. I don't beleive there was an injury, and I don't necessarily think the drops from the Florida game are the reason either. I do think the answer for why there was shortage of snaps for Moore can be found when looking at Juan Davis' snap count. That's a season high 40 snaps for Davis. Texas stayed in 12 personnel a lot on Saturday to combat the 3-high look from Arkansas. – Ryan Wingo outsnapped Isaiah Bond, but did not record a reception. *** Defense Out of 60 possible defensive snaps: 59 – Jahdae Barron 54 – Anthony Hill Jr. 51 – Jaylon Guilbeau 47 – Malik Muhammad 43 – Michael Taaffe 42 – Trey Moore 41 – Barryn Sorrell 40 – Andrew Mukuba 37 – Jelani McDonald 36 – Liona Lefau 35 – Vernon Broughton 34 – Colin Simmons 33 – Alfred Collins 29 – Jermayne Lole 20 – Ethan Burke 14 – Bill Norton, Gavin Holmes 12 – Kobe Black 9 – TyAnthony Smith 7 – David Gbenda 3 – Alex January – Jahdae only sat for one snap on Saturday. But more impressive than that, he spent 12 snaps in the box, 4 snaps in the slot and the other 41 out wide at cornerback. He was everywhere. – Guilbeau is going to be on Barron path if I had to bet next year. Very impactful. –Only 33 snaps from Alfred Collins, but man did he make the most of them. Again, he was the highest graded player for the Longhorns on Saturday vs. Arkansas.

Glass Joe
D.Moore never came back in after the 3rd down pop pass (for a 3 yard loss) in the first quarter. I do believe he was injured on the play. At halftime, he came out early to work with the Texas trainer to test if he could go in the second half, but they decided “no”. He was stretching both his hamstring and neck, so I assume it was one of those things injured.

HornsRUs
I was curious why Bolden was getting so many snaps over Moore but it makes sense if he got dinged up. Wingo and Bond have to get more targets imo

If he was not injured it was a poor choice to sit him, because we were obviously missing his blocking in the screen game.
TTaylor2135
Is Jaylon Guilbeau on any draft boards? Would he be a 4-7 round pick at this point? I really hope he comes back to your point on the Barron role but was curious if he was one we should keep an eye on for the draft. Coming back earned both Barron/Collins and maybe even Sorrell some $$ so hoping we can try to entice some fringe players such as Jaylon, Trey Moore, etc, to do the same
