That guy looks in the mirror to assign blame more than any coach I remember. I like the way he holds himself accountable. Moderators Jeff Howe Posted Wednesday at 01:42 PM Moderators Share Posted Wednesday at 01:42 PM McEndoo has a few different ties to the staff. He played with Jeff Banks and Chris Jackson at Washington State and worked with PK at Montana State. Hiring McEndoo is part of Sark’s answer to making up for the loss of Gunnar Helm. Instead of trying to outright replace Helm with another player, Jordan Washington and Nick Townsend could both function more like how Oklahoma State used its Cowboy Backs. I also like what this could mean for the Pony (two-back) package, just in terms of seeing more of it in 2025. 16
Bobby Burton
Just to be clear, while the hire could be very impactful, this is similar to what Sark has done with other coaches he felt added value (like Scottie Haselton last year and the nickels or Joe DeCammilis and special teams). McEndoo was let go by Mike Gundy after this season, so he’s been searching for a landing spot for this season.

That’s not a stretch. 🤷

We also thought Brennan Marion would bring Go-Go offense stuff to Sark's system and we didn't see a damn thing. I know we will spend this entire offseason trying to spin every move into an "oh, this is for x in the red zone," but that is not how the majority of these analysts' hires work. Some guys will spend time scouting upcoming opponents, some will spend time self-scouting, some won't even have a headset on gameday. It's impossible to know what an analyst's role is going to be 12 hours after he is hired outside of wishcasting.

Also I will not be taking any meetings today.

Tuco Ramirez
With the difficulties Texas has had in the red zone over the last two years, I like that Sark is throwing the kitchen sink at the problem. He brings an innovative concept that can help with very little risk to Texas.
Austalgia
I don’t want to get my hopes up, but if we can use some of these plus size athletes (Terry, Townsend, Winston) in two back sets and out wide ala Debo Samuel’s hunting mismatches that is exciting. I could go for some more positionless football. Edited Wednesday at 05:26 PM by Austalgia

We got one now.

Arch will be comfortable in the red zone but I’m more interested in seeing how different the RZ play calling is from Sark next year
