I remember when 121 was a two lane road out to the Colony - whenever our football/baseball team played out that way we'd always ask our coach to stop at the topless bar "Wranglers" [RIP]

For me growing up, it was nice to have football games on Friday after Thanksgiving (and on Thanksgiving) when mom and the women folk went shopping, the men and boys could stay home and just watch football all day long.  Of course these were the days of actually going to the mall/stores to shop.  Yes I'm old.

Glad this game is going to be played on Turkey Day+1 in the evening. Friday evening game lends more of a "special" feel than when it's played on Saturday.

I'm so Old School that I remember when it was always on Thanksgiving Day. I remember being at my Grandmother's house for Thanksgiving Day and all the grown-ups were gathered in the living room in the afternoon watching the Longhorns and Aggies on the Black and White television set while all of us kids were playing our version of football on the vacant lot next door. It was the 1963 season.

Yes.... many consider the Friday evening TV slot better than the Saturday after Thanksgiving Day because the Longhorns - Aggy game would be the only football game available on national television at that time.
