Joe Naural Posted Saturday at 02:17 PM Posted Saturday at 02:17 PM (edited) Henry Melton was the second coming of Jerry Ball …..who morphed from all state rb for west brook to smu to all pro dt for detroit lions i called it immediately….. those who dont believe Justus Terry cant morph body wise into Monster Dt …..are blind i predict Justus Terry will be a Monster DT … let him play… 30 snaps. / game let him bake …. Like Sweat… like Lamar ….like Roach… and that all conference dt we had recruited as lb but ended up all pro dt esrly 2000s im thinking nfl…justus is 340 ish all everything no coool aide here… i only gotta be 50 % right! Texas will have and has the defensive line of what legends are made of… saw jerry ball run for over 220 yds ….his senior yr….i thought he was the next coming of Earl Cambell ….he chose smu n the pony express w dickerson who was drivin brand new Camero before the smu got the death penalty. Jerry was unmoveable …dt played 350 ish in nfl Edited Saturday at 02:21 PM by Joe Naural 1 Quote
Bobby Burton Posted Saturday at 02:25 PM Posted Saturday at 02:25 PM Not sure I can think of a reasonable former Longhorn comparison for Terry at this point. 4 Quote

Bobbers Posted Saturday at 03:21 PM Posted Saturday at 03:21 PM Terry looks to me like a very mature kid that is already fairly advanced in the weight room. I bet he never gets too much over 300 and may play at 295 ish. Unnecessary fat at the DT position is way overrated, and Justus will be more than fine. 2 Quote
Quinncent McManning, Jr. Posted Saturday at 03:43 PM Posted Saturday at 03:43 PM Not sure terry will be the dancing bear that was Henry Shelton Quote

That picture of him in, I think it was the 8th grade, shows a pretty developed body. I think 295-300 is about right. 2 Quote

Terry is from a tiny town in Georgia without a modern weight room. What you see is natural, country strength. He has already put on 15 pounds in three months with a college strength and conditioning program. He will play at over 300 pounds at DT in 2026. This year, he will play strong side end and some DT in the NASCAR package. 3 Quote
Bevo92 Posted Saturday at 04:25 PM Posted Saturday at 04:25 PM Our defensive line in 2026 is shaping up to be really special (and scary for opposing offenses) with Colin Simmons, Maraad Watson, Colton Vasek and Alex January as juniors and Lance Jackson, Justus Terry, Myron Charles and Josiah Sharma in their second year with the program. Holy $&?@. Then it’s a bonus if either Lavon Johnson or Hero Kanu can elevate as a rotational DT going into their last year. Exciting times for the DL on the 40 acres!!! Hook em!! 🧡🤘🏼🐂 1 Quote

I sat next to Oscar, who was wearing a white tank top t-shirt, in the stands at the state track meet held at Memorial stadium around 1990. Dude was rock solid tank. Quote
qaertyisthatdude Posted Saturday at 05:53 PM Posted Saturday at 05:53 PM If Terry ever weighs more than 305 during his time at Texas I would be shocked. Quote
Waxahorn Posted Saturday at 06:09 PM Posted Saturday at 06:09 PM I predict he will record a sack against Georgia.😄 2 Quote
WG Carter Posted Saturday at 06:11 PM Posted Saturday at 06:11 PM Tommy Harris played I think just over 300lbs. with quick first step. Tough now in SEC where more weight is needed inside. Trust our coaches to put Terry in best position Let's dream he becomes like Aaron Donald 2 Quote

In all seriousness though, I think that we can both agree that he has a very bright future at Texas. 2 Quote

VaHorn Posted Saturday at 11:26 PM Posted Saturday at 11:26 PM I hate to say it, but this is like predicting that Vince Young would be better than Donnie Little. I mean you’re correct, but I don’t know how many kudos that deserves. Quote
Moderators Jeff Howe Posted Saturday at 11:42 PM Moderators Posted Saturday at 11:42 PM From a body type standpoint, I've compared Justus Terry to Lamarr Houston regarding former Longhorns. Gerry's Rashan Gary comp is good too. 1 Quote
