Hi im Boo Corrigan Posted yesterday at 03:19 AM Posted yesterday at 03:19 AM A few thoughts: We should be proud of this group. Obviously a very disappointing ending and embarrassing to be honest but none of us had the expectation that this team should win the SEC. We all knew throughout the season that this team was overachieving and had a magical run throughout the first 21 games of SEC play. They just ran out of gas and losing Jared Spencer was too much to overcome. Texas will attack the portal and Schloss will bring in guys he thinks will be Dudes. Dylan Volantis is going to be a superstar next season and I would think might be the Ace or Saturday guy of the staff. Schloss’s best teams are ahead of him and I have no doubt he will win this program a National Championship. I think the Will Gasparino experience should be over. 7 Quote
Texasborn91 Posted yesterday at 03:20 AM Posted yesterday at 03:20 AM Felt like this team punched way above their weight all season. Injuries and just kinda falling back down to earth a little. Still think they should have advanced to the supers. 1 Quote
Bobby_Batronic Posted yesterday at 03:22 AM Posted yesterday at 03:22 AM Limped into the post season and then limped out of it. SEC championship exceeds all expectations. Better days are ahead 5 Quote

That had a huge ripple effect on the rest of the staff and pitching was never the same after. Also stinks that Gasparino and Flores lost their bats about 2 months ago and never found them. I agree with the sentiment that this team probably overachieved early for what it was. That said, great first season for Schloss and hope he is ready to re-load for 2026. Fixed it. 2 1 Quote

And the truth is that we had a nasty habit of striking out 10+ times in games...on a regular basis. That's just a sign of a lack of talent, even though it can certainly be argued that most teams out there were LESS talented. We had a FEW guys, Bleyeu, for instance, with some talent that has a chance to go on to MLB in the future. We'll see from here what he does. I'm sure there will be better days ahead, but it will be a while before we see that. Quote

Wouldn’t shock me if they make it to Omaha. They've got something special about them, for sure. A senior-dominated group that plays with an edge. Quote

HornsUpThumbsDown Posted yesterday at 12:08 PM Posted yesterday at 12:08 PM Good season. There should be a UT tears thread though, if we are honest Quote
ccarreon Posted yesterday at 12:10 PM Posted yesterday at 12:10 PM @Blake Munroe Any thoughts on how the draft might affect the current roster/incoming high school recruits? Also, any idea on what positions you see Texas being aggressive with in the portal? Quote
Jerry K Posted yesterday at 12:19 PM Posted yesterday at 12:19 PM I personally had a blast and truly enjoyed watching this team this season. I never would’ve guessed a 44-14 season. It was definitely disappointing how they finished but keeping the big picture in mind it was one helluva season that included series wins over agricultural and mechanical and boomer along with a conference title. Schloss and his staff are really good and better the future is bright. Quote

cochamps Posted yesterday at 01:18 PM Posted yesterday at 01:18 PM Will miss Kimble S. Dude worked his butt off and was a great player for us. He's not the only one, just my favorite. 1 Quote
