Very few people are blessed with 1st round LT frame like Ojo.  But his entire recruitment and vibe feels off.  Picking Tech would feel appropriate.  Picking Texas would be a sign he wants to be more than “potential”.

Sad that kids are being counseled to chase the short-term $ vs the long-term $, and being willing to chase the $ into a shithole environment  vs a spectacular environment for their future development, both on and off the field.  40 year decision, not 4 year.

5 million invested over three years wisely sets one for LIFE. Ever ones money is the same color

Problem is that the money and Tech’s overall talent on the OL is going to force the kid on the field far before he is ready which sacrifices his NFL future.

$5 Million MINUS his agent's 10 to 20% =  $4.-4.5 million.  Less taxes for a single filer of 37% = $2.5 to $2.8 million.  You really thnk he is going to be INVESTING all of that???  GMAB.

Odds of his being a high draft pick out of TT vs UT is SIGNIFICANT (last first round pick out of Tech was Crabtree in 2009; last 2nd round pick was RB in 2020).

Likely he could have gotten at least a $1.0 million per year from UT with much greater likelihood of being a Round 1 or 2 draft pick.  He will regret this decision.  Not betting on himself.  Hope it work out well for them.

A good CFP would help develop a plan to help resolve those issues and have a long term investment plan.

What?  Pat Mahomes was selected # 10 by the Chiefs in the first round of the 2017 draft.

Tyree Wilson was selected # 7 overall by the Raiders just two years ago.

Maybe one more, I don't really follow the Red Raiders, but surely you knew about Mahomes?
