USC has been a soft ass program for years under Lincoln Riley.   Illinois has been a shitty team for years.

Jeez, what does that say about the SEC then when USC and Illinois pushes them around? Yikes. By the way, Tennessee was one of the least physical teams Ohio State played all season.

I agree. I think Texas’ OL is going to struggle massively.

I don’t believe they will . August 30th i guess we will find out . I know what you’re thinking Arch can’t be as good as all the hype says he is . well let me tell you he’s ever bit as good . He has a good supporting cast around him also. Ohio State could be in for a surprise!

Actually, my thinking is I only saw Arch play two competent opponents. Ohio State knocked him out in one play, and he looked like he didn’t belong anywhere near a football field against Georgia.

I quoted you some snap counts.

A guy you call a non-starter for us has 1,300 snaps.  Hinzman has 1,355.  DJ Campbell has 1,800, which is double the amount of snaps of your highest Olineman last year.  Goosby had more than Montgomery and started two games with two additional 40+ snap games amongst A&M, Clemson, Arizona State and Georgia, which may have some 1st rounders in that bunch.  Now, we have a potential starter at LG in his 4th year and a primary backup also in his 4th year.  They haven’t played much, but they’ve been behind multi year starters.  Then I believe a 5* at RT in his 2nd year.

So 3,500 snaps.  Now 17 seasons on campus.  All but 1 have been around 2 final 4 appearances.  They’ve worked against the highest drafted DTs for parts of that time in practice.  Top notch DEs too.

It is certainly reasonable to claim we have the best G of the bunch and the best T.  Like I said, we’ll see.

But you tell me.  Is that experienced?

After seeing the way Texas’ OL played against Ohio State, I’m confident none of them would play a snap for Ohio State. Where as I know our OL already shut down a better Texas D than they will face on 8/30. With all do respect.

All experience isn’t the same.

I believe we might have a couple of guys who would start over a portal scrub from Rice.

So does Ohio State, that’s why Onianwa isn’t starting at Ohio State.

I’m not trying to be an asshole, but I felt like Ohio State’s defensive line dominated Texas’ OL. You didn’t feel that way?

I think that just comes natural for Ohio State fans.

Quinn Ewers was a sitting duck in the pocket and Will Howard could escape, that was the difference. Still, a 7 pt game with goal to go 2 minutes left in the game isn’t domination in any form.

You tOsU and Big10 fans are masters of hyperbole. Win 2 nattys in a row and all of a sudden you are dominating. Meanwhile, when the SEC was rattling off 7 in a row, etc, you were crying about media bias

You didn’t think Ohio State’s DL dominated the OL?

When the SEC won 7 in a row you were struggling in the Big 12. What’s that go to do with anything?

He played 2 series at the end of the half down 17 points. Any player that can run for a 21 yard gain on UGa’s defense deserves to be on the field.

Ohio State had 30 more rushing yards than Texas. Ohio State’s OL did not dominate Texas DL any more than vice versa. The difference in sacks was a difference in QB mobility.

I personally don’t think stats tell the entire story, but it doesn’t matter because that game is in the past. Good luck on 8/30.

Kelvin Banks, 1st round pick and Outland Trophy winner, wouldn’t see a snap on Ohio State’s OL.

What a dumb ass comment

The story is that Texas vs tOSU was a good game , with Texas having a chance to tie the game with 2 minutes left. Saying Ohio State dominated the game in any way just suggests you’re extremely biased or unintelligent.

That has not been reported anywhere and is completely made up.

I bleed orange blood and follow Ohio State reports daily because we are going to play them.  There are no reports that he is turning the ball over.  Julian is a good young QB with 5 star receivers every where.  It irritates me that we have so many arrogant fans who disrespect a worthy opponent, especially one who just beat us.  This game will be tough.

I was referring to anybody who played on Texas’ OL in the Cotton Bowl who will also be playing in the game on 8/30. Kelvin Banks is and was a stud.

I was just letting him know my thinking, but I’ll be back here win or lose to tell you all good game and it was fun discussing ball with you.

Now, you’re being a dumbass.  And representing the shittiest fan base I’ve ever encountered.    And now it comes out in you.  Congrats.

You can be thankful we started a RT that was hurt, probably still hurt.  In spite of that he was drafted by the team to have one of the top Olines in the NFL.  If you asked the fanbase, the knowledgeable portion, it’s probably close to unanimous that in retrospect he shouldn’t have played.

OSU had two runs - a 22 yarder and an 18 yarder, which we screwed up our alignment.  We had an additional sack.  That was the difference in the run game.  You weren’t exactly dominant there.  And one of your Tackles was the best olinemen you had and he probably had the tougher matchup.

Much like Sark, Ryan Day’s bread and butter is the QB position. I honestly can’t remember the last time an OSU QB had more than one turnover in a game, it just doesn’t happen. It doesn’t mean Texas’ D won’t completely suffocate Ohio State’s O, I just wouldn’t expect anymore than one turnover at the most.

I’m sorry your interactions with Ohio State fans haven’t been good, I truly mean that. In my personal opinion, I think most people who watched that game felt like Ohio State’s defensive line was dominant.

Ohio State’s linebackers were dominated by Texas’ running backs in the passing game, l’m man enough to admit that. It is one thing that worries the sh*t out of me for 8/30.
