Roy Hinojosa Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago After listening to Coffee and Football this morning, Will Matthews confirmed my fears about Arch Manning last Saturday against Ohio State. According to Will Matthews, Arch looked fine pre-game and looked to be his normal self. However, when Arch turfed his first throw that was wide open, it looked all the life drained from Arch and everyone on the sidelines were somewhat shocked he missed that throw. From that moment on up until the 4th quarter, it looked like Arch had the yips. People can complain all day about Sark's play calling, but there's nothing you can do if you're a head case and can't make the simple throws. I'm confident that Arch will find his game this season, but I'm worried that Arch is going to make the same mistakes against San Jose State. He needs to find success early, and I hope that Sark can give him confidence and early wins because that's what he needs the most right now. 2 Quote
Roy Hinojosa Posted 2 hours ago Author Posted 2 hours ago I'm more optimistic than pessimistic, but Arch wasn't someone I was worrying about before Ohio State. I just want to see him be himself again, and I think the rest will take care of itself. Quote
BevoTenn25 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago He will be okay. Don't overanalyze. Literally his 3rd game starting and 1st against a formidable opponent. Let him grow Texas fans, let him grow. National media hype has almost taken the humanity from Arch. He was never immune to what happened Saturday against Ohio state despite his great family or football background. Experience is the only way these guys are going to improve. Quote
Joe Zura Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Jesus are we going to have a post like this after every single game that arch starts while at Texas GOOD GOD YALL go breathe or something. 10 3 1 Quote

Arch can go 30/30 7tds no picks and it still won't be enough. Because well he did have a bad game the first start of the season. 2 Quote

No kidding. I guess if we don't blowout SJSU by 60 we're going to hear this and the "creativity" mantra until our ears are ringing. Rather have "creative" comments than play calls that are more likely to fail than work. 2 Quote
UTexas Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I'm not worried about Arch at all. Maybe Sark needs to call a QB draw or bootleg to get him moving and let him take a hit or 2 to get him going. Whatever it is, I'm sure that between Sark, Arch, Milwee, Flood amd Bimonte that they can find the best way to get him on track. Quote

FriendswoodGangsta Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I've had to adjust my expectations immensely. I went from Natty or bust, to hopefully playoffs. I had way too much Kool aid. I don't know about Arch anymore. 1 1 Quote

I'm sure he'll bounce back in these next three games, but they wanna see him do it in the Swamp, the Cotton Bowl, Between the Hedges, and in Austin against their other two rivals. Quote
Moderators CJ Vogel Posted 1 hour ago Moderators Posted 1 hour ago There were three big time throws arch completed in the 4Q that should have him feeling somewhat confident. Endries on the sideline, Livingstone TD & Livingstone 4th down attempt. All elite NFL level throws. 1 Quote

I am posting this from an ambulance on the way to the emergency room. Not worried about dying but I am very concerned about A. Manning. Quote

There are MULTIPLE people that have played high level football, both college and pros, or have covered it extensively, saying that arch will be fine, but give it time. But nooope, here it is on Thursday and it's still going. I'm almost to the point that I'm hoping Arch and the offense play well enough to win the SEC and/or make or win the National Championship just to spite the worriers. 1 Quote

He also kept his focus and muscled the DB very well on the play for a young WR. Quote
