I watched their game and they refused to lose. At one point, Elko got in the players ' faces and went postal on them. They responded. They have two receivers that are dogs. The quarterback is young, but damn he's good. That winning throw was Mahomes like.

I think their defensive issues catch up to them at some point, but their offense is much improved from a season ago.  Looking at their schedule, they should win at least 10 and be a CFP lock.  Might even get to Atlanta.

They have a good offense but they have averaged at least 25ppg on defense so far this year. Their offense can only carry for so long. Kinda makes me wish we had an offense though

In all honestly, I can’t looked beyond Sam Houston with this team right now.

You don’t have time to envy your neighbor’s house when yours is in dire need of repair.

Honestly, that’s a bit alarming considering this is Year 5 under Sark. At this point, the team should be more than just ‘getting by.’ Talent is stacked, yet we’re still struggling to look beyond Sam Houston. Meanwhile, other programs, even ones inheriting messy situations like Elko at A&M, are already winning big games, three top-10 wins in just 16 games. Sark, on the other hand, is 3-8 in year five against top-15 teams. The difference in big game execution is glaring and should be sounding alarm bells.

I was watching all the games wishing we had a QB that could make ANY of those throws...Who knew we'd have the worst QB in the SEC..it's kinda funny at this point.

October and November still will happen with 2 to 5 loses. I’ll be impressed when they are better than 8-5 at seasons end.

This and the Marcus Freeman great coach proclamations were a bit pre-mature.

You unfortunately have to give them credit.

No one saw Reed being considerably better than Manning.

They have better receivers, running backs and Oline.

In one offseason it’s happened.

Texas grossly miscalculated their talent and didn’t hit the portal at WR and Oline enough.

There isn’t a single spot where Texas is better than Aggy on offense with Steve Sarkisian as HC. That’s mind blowing.

Man if only Texas had a coach who could focus solely on offense and creating the best possible opportunity to win.

What a novel concept

Elko calls the defensive plays and him and the defense looks terrible and lost. LOL

This and the claims that Sark can't call plays and be the HC at the same time is really weird. We have one of the best defenses in the country and an inconsistent first year starting QB. Let's not make it bigger than it is.

I'm  as disappointed as anyone that the offense and Arch are not performing at a championship level yet. But where I'm different than others I'm gonna let play out. If it doesn't get fixed we are gonna struggle all season but what I'm not gonna do is turn on Sark and Arch after 3 games. That is dumb.

The internet age has just gone nuts on play calling. All these fans that think they know what should be called are off their rocker. Countless coaches have called both offense and defense and won titles.
