Auburn and Oklahoma are two i could see on the possible list in the future

Auburn would be a mistake.  He's in his second year and has been close.  If Florida opens up there will be bidding wars for all of those great players.

How far will GJ Kinne and Jeff Traylor catapult up the coaching ranks this year?

..and Arbuckle won't be at OU next year.

Kinne or Traylor would need a Baylor/TCU/SMU type to shake loose I would think. And Kinne ain’t exactly covering himself in glory after entering the year with some expectations.

I know Traylor tried for the UH job but he really needed to get out of UTSA a few years ago. He’s now in the G5 cycle of death in terms of his roster turnover.

Not at all. IMO, he needs to get to 8-4

Do you think OU’s AD change will affect Venables’ job security? Maybe the new AD won’t want to immediately make a coaching change.

Oklahoma for sure is a possibility ... they could go 2-4 the rest of the way and limp in at 7-5

Auburn is tough ... they are better. Getting the shaft from officials, but it's a W or L end game

Do you think 8 wins saves his job or does he need more? I think at 7-5 they're going to fire him. Auburn needs to cut their losses and get a new HC and QB. Arnold looked good early on but boy he looked like typical Arnold the rest of the way.

Kinne needs to win some more games this year IMO

Don't think Traylor will leave for a bad situation in P4 ... he's turned down a number of P4's in the last 2-3 years

If Baylor opened up, both would try there. Kinne would be the popular pick of media because his dad played there.

That's a big part of this IMO. Who does the new AD have ties to No. 1.

Wouldn’t that be Nagy’s decision?

If OU wants Mateer to come back, I think they keep Arbuckle (if Venables is back)

that's Assuming Nagy is back if Venables is fired

OU AD and higher ups will have most say.

Oklahoma will have tough time getting an AD they want/need if they tell the guy Jim Nagy is making the FB hire. I would laugh and say no thanks. But just me!

Disagree. I like Campbell a lot. I would send my son to play for him.
