@Gerry Hamilton the things he was doing last night were unreal.  he moves like a combo guard.  He made Lively look short and he is a 7 footer.  I was telling a friend earlier, if Spurs can get 60-65 games out of him in the regular season and he is able to play in the playoffs, they are going to be a hard team to put out.

Very possible. Interested to see the Spurs when they have Fox and full lineup/rotation.

Agee 100% on getting 65'ish regular season games and healthy in playoffs... they could be a very tough out. Their young guys will keep ascending with experience this season

Haha. Love it. Who knows on that ... Rockets aren't winning it this year unless they trade for a PG ... VanVleet injury was crushing

If Wemby stays healthy with the young nucleus being built around him... he'll likely get 1-2. He's like nothing I've ever seen before, but that body isn't built for longevity either.

That’s lofty goal, but they can get a serviceable goal if need be. Reed and Sheppard have a lot of room left to grow. Sleep on Sengun and Jabari Smith if you want.

Wemby gotta stay healthy.

From the highlights, he didn't take many treys.  He worked in the paint and inside.  That is what he should do.

I don't know if he will continue to resist putting up 10 shots from out, but if he does, count that as growth, whether it was his sole decision or whether the coaches or his time with Olajuwon influenced him.

The highlights also showed Castle to advantage.  They have something going together.

I wonder what Wilt Chamberlain would be like in today’s game.  I think he may be the closest comp to Wemby ever, but be was shorter, and much stronger.

I was thinking he reminds me of Wilt from early in his career. Watch Wilt on YouTube and you will see what I mean. Wilt was more nimble and moved like a small forward and had a better all around game but Wemby looks like the real deal.

He looked physically stronger and more assertive last night than he ever did the first two years. Made AD (a 5x All-Defense selection) look like a helpless JAG out there. If he’s gonna do that to AD and Lively, he’s gonna go for 60+ a couple times this year against some of the smaller, weaker defending teams.

Last night was one of the most breathtaking individual performances I’ve ever seen. Just the size and skill set and ability to influence everything whenever he’s on the court. Special special player.

Having a dynasty again will be difficult because of the potential feet issues that could come with being that tall. Each championship requires a lot of playoff games year after year. That’s a lot more wear and tear on the body.

I know there are elaborate protocols for measuring height in NBA including multiple certifications, and I know that Robinson and Duncan have probably lost an inch or so from their prime, but c'mon...
