What he’s done at Ole Miss with a fraction of the talent and resources he would have at Florida is already historical (by Ole Miss standards). Kiffin has an offensive system that scales. His current QB is a D2 transfer that arrived at Ole Miss in June to back-up Austin Simmons…and Ole Miss’ offense doesn’t skip a beat. I don’t think Kiffin enjoys recruiting much, but he knows to hire assistants who do. In the state of Florida, he’ll have an in-state advantage in the most talent-rich recruiting state in the country. As long as Florida competes in the NIL space, Kiffin’s rosters will be as talented as any in the country. And if you’re an offensive player, you’ve already got proof of concept that Kiffin’s system scores big points against the top teams in the SEC. This is as close to a no-brainer for success as Florida can possibly have. Now, let’s hope they can screw it up 😂 While the talent is much deeper in Florida, the resources are likely the same between Florida and Ole Miss at this point. Florida's NIL is probably worse right now than Ole Miss. Quote

It won't affect anything in the '26 class. But beyond that, it probably would. Quote
LonghornFan4Ever Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago If Kiffin turns the job down, would UF make a run at Jedd Fisch? Quote
4thandFive Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago I wonder what Ole Miss would do if Kiffin left. And where else would Florida go if he says no? What about Elko in Gainesville? Quote

Not like he’s winning with scrubs. Conventional wisdom was he underachieved last year. Quote

Not that simple. Btw, that’s what’s said about every Texas candidate before they’re hired, and we know how they’ve worked out. Quote

4thandFive Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago If Sark leaves, Kiffin isn’t in my top 3. A) Freeman B) DeBoer C) Lanning D) Kiffin E) Elko Quote

That Texas hasn’t done much with all our resources over the past 55 years really isn’t relevant to a discussion of Kiffin choosing Florida over Ole Miss. And Kiffin all but clinched a Playoff spot with his win over OU today (look at Ole Miss’ remaining schedule…11-1 is very likely), so you can check that box on Kiffin’s resume. And a 7-1 SEC record (very likely) will put Ole Miss in their first ever SEC Championship game. Another box checked. Quote
HookemTexas Posted 4 minutes ago Posted 4 minutes ago The available coaches this year aren't great, gonna have to steal one and even then, most aren't going to be looking to leave, they have built strong programs where they are. Quote
