Rod Babers and I just finished recording a look ahead to the game in Athens on the 15th that will air on Saturday.

During my research for the video, I came across some numbers on the Georgia defense I never would have expected to see...

***

– Georgia ranks 132nd out of 136 teams with 8.0 sacks this season.

– Additionally, Georgia ranks 135th out of 136 teams with 29.0 tackles for loss.

Of those 8.0 sacks, 3.0 come from LB CJ Allen, their starting middle linebacker. And another 3.0 come from LB Chris Cole who sees about 1/3 of his snaps off the edge.

***

Now, Georgia still has a top 25 scoring defense, sitting at 19.6 points per game allowed.

But there is a silver lining to Texas getting over the Kirby Smart hump and it begins with protection for Arch Manning. Hope is that the changes made to the Texas offensive line will travel to Athens.

Would love to see sark get over the kirby/georgia hump next weekend. Getting wingo back will be huge because nobody is explosive as him.

It would be massive for Sark, and provide a sliver of breathing room for Texas. Something they havent had all season.

This means Georgia will have a career day against us

All that means is they’ve been saving exotic looks for Texas.

I thought the same. But they already played bama and I’m sure they pulled out the kitchen sink for that one.

The Georgia offense is a juggernaut right now.

They’ve made just about every SEC defense short of Alabama look bad IMO.

Texas’s defense is light years better than Tennessee and much better than Ole Miss. I *think* 31 wins the game, I know Miss State and Vandy, but this feels like a big game the defense comes in clutch.

I meant in largely in jest although I’d suspect Kirby put in some off season work on Texas.  Them having MSU this week works to our benefit.  They can’t blow them off and still win.

Florida offensive Line push on Ga dL was textbook most of the game !  Doesnt hurt to have Jaden Baugh.

Lets seee how banged up Ga is after this next game????

Texas w 2 weeks to recover…backs to the Wall!

2 weeks to sync the offensive line??

we will have all our Wr back in form!

Id bet on Texas

Yup, that’s how it’s played out this season. We’re a slump buster for bad defenses and a tough out for great defenses haha.

Texas has a sure fire “beat Saban in Tuscaloosa” opportunity next week.

We’ll be fine provided the O takes care of the ‘ball and has drives that last longer than 90 seconds.

So if we score, 5 TDs but in less than 90 seconds, you are not happy?

But I guess you never said those drives needed to turn into points.
