I know nothing about his motivations or goals, but I can only assume a recruit would choose the ACC over any SEC school because of higher NIL

I was going to say that it was probably the one you mentioned.

You should ALWAYS  give credit to where you find info, but those guys almost always just use the "sources tell us" instead  of ever giving credit to others.
