  1. I think Turntine is a no doubter left tackle. He’ll have to be beat out at that position before he would move, no matter where he signs.
  2. What we know at this point is that he moved up his commitment date following the South Carolina visit. At the same time, Texas is not recruiting another un-committed corner currently.
  3. Bishop had nothing to do with Lott’s decision other than Bishop’s pledge could have shrunk the NIL pool at the position.
  4. Stanford is a great academic school. Without question. However, to go somewhere where you don’t have an inkling who your head coach would be next year would be baffling given the amount of NFL money at stake, much less NIL money.
  5. We shall see July 12.
  6. Meh. There can be a kernel of truth to something without it being the only issue or even the primary one. For me, the bigger issue is the lack of success Texas has had at North Shore generally, especially when considering they've been fairly good to the school overall in return.
  7. Phillips was a state qualifier in the sprints and about 20 pounds lighter.
  8. Good question IMO. Texas keeps its best players historically. More than most other places, including Alabama and Georgia. Similar to Ohio State IMO.
  9. But I don't think he would start at Texas.
  10. Because they have talented players. And every player is different.
  11. It has been indeed. Waiting to see.
  12. Guys, Not sure how to explain this better. Simeon is not considered just another guy. He is seen as an elite prospect by Texas. Take public recruiting rankings out of the equation.
  13. I want to add this: I do not think Calicut's commitment is done. I've heard he's leaning that way.
  14. I think Devin Sanchez is going to be great.
  15. All these North Shore guys that have gone other places and largely flamed out, all while Corey Redding remains the best player with the best pro career in North Shore history. And he did that at Texas. Someone needs to change the narrative over there.
  16. Hearing North Shore safety Chace Calicut may be cutting Georgia's way.
  17. Jay Humphrey deserves a nod. Yarbrough was a long-time judge in Galveston before becoming mayor of Galveston. I think Jonah Williams’ father may have taken over that bench from Yarbrough. Small world.
  18. I think if the deal would be done today, it’d likely be Texas is my guess. But there’s three weeks to go here. In other words, let’s see where things sit in about two weeks. Remember, he publicly wanted to reach out to Texas so there’s interest that goes a little farther than your average situation.
  19. Announcement date of July 11. Texas-South Carolina battle it feels like.
  20. At 10 years old, Hackemack would have been three feet taller than me I think! 😉
  21. You guys absolutely need to stop with the dad angle on Jalen Lott. James Lott is a good guy and a great Longhorn. Jalen is not solely "going to the highest bidder".
  22. Current no. 68 on the team is: Brooks Kieschnick Jr., son of the former Longhorn baseball great. https://texaslonghorns.com/sports/football/roster/brooks-kieschnick-jr-/14424
  23. Lott is leaning away from Texas at this time.
  24. Looks like it's official. Kevin Durant is your newest Houston Rocket.
