  1. For those perplexed by the current NIL structure and how different schools are operating, the article I have linked below does a good job of laying out some of the terms. https://sports.yahoo.com/college-football/article/we-dont-know-the-rules--big-12-coaches-still-wrestling-with-new-world-order-after-player-payment-changes-013454522.html
  2. There's no spin here. There was no spin last year either. Or the year before that. Texas will continue to recruit hard and see where the chips fall. Acting like this is some sort of death spiral is nonsensical.
  3. He doesn’t do them on the same day because he doesn’t want to give it away. So that’s about someone else.
  4. Have to see if anyone leaves for NFL early, too. Remember, it’s not just a rev share overall, the personnel staff are allotting so much to each position.

  6. Update: we are now at $5,200 in donations to the Central Texas Food Bank. Thank you to everyone!
  7. We raised $2,899 tonight for the Central Texas Food Bank! Thank you to all OTF OG’s who made it happen. Truly outstanding!
  8. There is no log jam at receiver IMO, not until any of the young ones prove they are difference makers.
  9. We will do something. Just an unthinkable tragedy.
  10. “Texas trying to make it interesting” is inaccurate. It makes it sound like Texas is doing something different. Texas has not changed its offer in 10 days.
  11. Discussion.
  12. Nope. Same guy did the one for NiJaree Canady, the Tech softball pitcher.
  13. He did take the visit. Texas fans need to know this wasn’t one Texas went to battle for though. It’s being portrayed as such and it’s just not the case given Richard Wesley’s commitment.
  14. I don’t think that’s their intent but it is the reality in this instance.
  15. People need to stop. False narrative. They’re just playing it up to make it look like a direct win over Texas. Facts are, Texas didn’t move anything in the last minute. Texas got Richard Wesley 10 days ago. It’s A&M. Or Clemson. Texas not even tracking this closely.
  16. Please do not post screenshots of other websites content.
  17. Love the word “potentially” in that reporting. I think offers like that are going to be common. We’ll see what recruits want to do with it. Frankly, Tech hasn’t done a whole hell of a lot with the players they have recruited from high school.
  18. Some think the way to make a name for yourself is to try to target the brand that matters most.
  19. Separate note but Boobie Feaster to USC. Texas never prioritized.
  20. Early next week is possible but not solidified. Waiting for him to give everyone a date.
  21. Some already have and not just because they’re from well off families but because they want to build a better team.
  22. Putting the genie back in the bottle NEVER works!!!
  23. FWIW - in the case of the most recent losses, yes, I know both sides of the coin. Admittedly, I do not know all of those from last year. Reporting on NIL offers will become a more common thing, especially as schools can start putting their offers in writing on August 1.
  24. Good question. Here’s why: Because the preponderance of NIL spent previously came from what the NCAA and House Settlement deem as “associated entities”, i.e. collectives and/or business specifically related to Texas. According to the House Settlement, those associated entities are now regulated by NIL Go and must pass fair market value tests, of which 70-90pct would have been thrown out last year, according to Deloitte.
