  1. Re-posted and pinned it since I just had a chance to watch it this morning.
  2. This video breakdown comes from our friend Brooks Austin, the Film Guy. It's a 25-minute, detailed breakdown of Arch vs Mississippi State. It's really well done. We'll see Brooks down in Atlanta at SEC media days and ask him to join us one morning.
  3. For those that accused me of having my head in the sand… 😉
  4. They already are in some instances. But, as with every business, some do it more successfully than others, some are more valuable than others, etc.
  5. Historically, A&M has always been a rival to Texas, or since I was born at least. Texas was always big brother and A&M typically had the Napoleon complex. If you’re raised in Texas and of a certain age, your parents or grandparents, etc., would tell “Aggie jokes”. And the Aggies were always the butt of the jokes.
  6. I don’t wish ill on any young person and unfortunately he took a wrong turn. Sad. It will come out eventually, but it’s not something we’re going to report on. (Locking thread because I think it’s the right thing to do here.)
  7. We’re aware of it and who it is. Not going to post it here. Not worth giving it any further air.
  8. Stop using over-dramatized language, like calling someone “stupid”. State your thoughts and position without going overboard please. There’s a level of decorum required for a healthy exchange of ideas.
  9. Running back is a spot that could be open in 2026. Maybe LB.
  10. Just an FYI - Gerry has already had him as a commitment, so this is announcing his signing.
  11. Brazos, all of what you write is true. That's why I've said multiple times that retention is a major part of the conversation. Yet I still believe Texas will close with an elite recruiting class. That is what Sark has done from his first year to now. I don't think that changes. Winners are gonna win.
  12. You couldn’t legally do that. You can’t have a signed agreement with a recruit until signing day. So nothing could be submitted to NILGo/Deloitte. Paying players from a collective while they are a recruit is clearly illegal. Apparently some schools and/or their collectives think those rules don’t apply to them.
  13. No, they could not. Year two would have gone against any cap.
  14. There is a group set to mete out punishment that has the authority to do so. When or if that will actually happen, I can’t say.
  15. You can’t sign multi-year deals to go against rev share prior to House. You could forward it one year and Texas did that as much or more than anyone else. What is happening now is folks are going beyond that. Read the article. - Promising third party NiL is illegal. - Paying players while still in high school is illegal. - Promising you’ll pay them more if rules change is illegal.
  16. Other schools have not figured anything out yet, other than they’re willing to lie and/or openly break the rules. Read this article from today and you’ll get a better sense of the bs that is out there. https://sports.yahoo.com/college-football/article/we-dont-know-the-rules--big-12-coaches-still-wrestling-with-new-world-order-after-player-payment-changes-013454522.html
  17. For those perplexed by the current NIL structure and how different schools are operating, the article I have linked below does a good job of laying out some of the terms. https://sports.yahoo.com/college-football/article/we-dont-know-the-rules--big-12-coaches-still-wrestling-with-new-world-order-after-player-payment-changes-013454522.html
  18. There's no spin here. There was no spin last year either. Or the year before that. Texas will continue to recruit hard and see where the chips fall. Acting like this is some sort of death spiral is nonsensical.
  19. He doesn’t do them on the same day because he doesn’t want to give it away. So that’s about someone else.
  20. Have to see if anyone leaves for NFL early, too. Remember, it’s not just a rev share overall, the personnel staff are allotting so much to each position.
