  1. An absolutely gorgeous day here at pOSU. Amazingly, I’m not nauseous. Typically, I gag or throw up before every game. I’m totally confident Texas is going to manhandle Ohio State.
  2. I will be there with 5 others. So SIX.
  3. For the +1 games… these should be played every year. Nebraska vs. OU Florida St. vs. Florida Georgia Tech vs. Georgia Clemson vs S. Carolina Louisville vs Kentucky Kansas vs. Missouri That leaves the following: Texas Texas A&M LSU Arkansas Alabama Auburn Ole Miss Mississippi St. Tennessee Vanderbilt Looking ahead 4 years ahead Texas: Ohio St.;Michigan; ND; at ND Texas A&M: ASU; at ASU, Louisville; at Louisville LSU: Clemson; Houston; SMU; Arizona St. Arkansas: at Utah; Oklahoma St.; at ND; Utah Alabama: FSU, at Ohio State; Ohio State; at ND Auburn: Baylor; 2027 ? ; 2028 ? ; at Miami Ole Miss: NOTHING for the next four years Miss. St. at Minnesota; Minn.; T. Tech; at T. Tech Tennessee: at Georgia Tech, GT; WVU; at Washington Vanderbilt: NC State; at Stanford; at NC State; Purdue
  4. The way I see the 3 permanent opponents Georgia: Florida; Auburn; South Carolina Bama: Auburn; Tennessee; LSU Texas: ou; aggy; Arkansas LSU: Ole Miss; aggy; Bama Tennessee: Vandy; Bama; Florida Auburn: Bama; Georgia; Vandy aggy: Texas; LSU; ou Ole Miss: LSU; Miss St.; Kentucky Miss St.: Ole Miss; Kentucky; Vandy ou: Texas; aggy; Missouri Florida: Georgia; Tennessee; S. Carolina South Carolina: Georgia; Florida; Missouri Vandy: Tennessee; Auburn; Miss St. Missouri: ou; Arkansas; South Carolina Kentucky: Miss St.; Ole Miss; Arkansas Arkansas: Texas; Missouri; Kentucky
  5. If Texas used SEC measurement rules Texas could claim 9 NC’s.
  6. Pretty sure Smith will be his first read. That dude… he’ll kill you in man. Zone… just get it near him, and he’ll snatch. He’s like a slightly bigger Andre Johnson. Really difficult to get in his catch radius given how he uses his body. Gotta get in Sayin’s kitchen quick or at least let him feel ya at pre-snap (ie make him think you’re coming).
  7. Ohio State has been preparing for Colin Simmons all off season. Likewise, Texas has been focused on the other game changer in Jeremiah Smith. The best way to keep the ‘ball out of Smith’s hands… it’s not just pressure. It’s threatening pressure. In other words, get a young QB’s eyes down as quick as possible. AND, the best way to get eyes down quick is threaten pressure pre-snap in the A and B gaps. There’s no way a young, inexperienced QB, inexperienced RB’s along with a new guard-center-guard combination can be ready for that. I don’t care if you’re playing Western Michigan or St. Mary’s Church the Poor, until you’ve done it (ie handle pressure from ‘backers coming from the A and/or B gaps), it has to be a massive concern. AND, they have to do it in game 1 against elite talent. Hill, Lefau, Tyanthony, Moore and Spence (yes, I know he’s moved to edge) can dance in the A and B gaps pre-snap and either come or drop. They’ll be comfortable moving up and back (ie threatening) pre-snap. A Texas LB’er is going to be the player of the game for shizzle.
  8. No, I want to win all of them. Can’t lose Jawja since they’ll very likely be off the schedule the next few years. 0-3 in living rooms is not ideal in recruiting. Losing to ou and aggy never feels good even with a NC. Ohio State… don’t want to lose to those cocky ass Yankees. I’ll take a trap game loss against Kentucky or something like that. FYI, we haven’t lost on the road when I’m in the house in a while (not counting neutral sites). And, I’m going to Ohio State, Florida and Kentucky. So there’s that. I expect to win the NC. I’m pretty sure the players do too.
  9. I’ve been giving to Texas One for well over a year now… might be two. All I ever get is an email thanking me for my $100 monthly. All good. I very happy and excited about Texas Athletics.
  10. Clark on a screen pass from Arch.
  11. Pettijohn would have been a better pick up than Barnes if we were still in the Big12. Barnes is a big thumper in the middle. You need size in the SEC.
  12. Too many… Bijan Roschon Murphy Wisner Lefau Taaffe I’m a big Nick Townsend fan so I’m going with him.
  13. I don’t think he plays until November if at all.
  14. Let’s just leave it at Cedric. The dude was a workhorse. The kind of RB every coach covets.
  15. Kellan Heard, Michael Bennett and his retarded brother, Martellus. F those guys. I don’t hate Baker Mayfield and Craig James. They’re just dicks that have punchable faces. I respect Brian Bosworth and Ndamukong Suh. They played hard and lived on the edge of clean and dirty.
  16. Gap scheme… Less thinking which makes everyone more aggressive. Arch… when you break the huddle, more straight up or “honest” looks at pre-snap.
  17. Breaking down all offensive position groups… looking at 2026, what happens with Brandon Baker? Is he a dude? If so, Nick Brooks can play LT. If not, we will need a dude at one of the OT spots. LB’er would be a concern if Brad Spence didn’t return. Hill is obviously gone. Lefau, Tyanthony, Barnes, Cunningham and new comers Atkinson and Okpala make for a very young group. Not worried about the defensive backfield. What happens with Baker and Spence are key.
  18. Can Butler move to corner?
  19. We have a super blue at WR and his name is Jermaine Bishop. The only place we don’t have a super blue outside of TE is at safety. Benjamin announces on the 2nd. I have not watched any film on Benjamin. Is he a safety? Or corner? Or can he play both? I lean to the latter given what I’ve heard. @Gerry Hamilton Thoughts?
  20. Who’s collecting the money for all the sites?
  21. Sark was likely dialed in as he should be. Not sure if he noticed.
  22. Why I put a $100 on Cade to win the Heisman at 10-1. He might be responsible for 50+ TD’s this fall in that league.
  23. I did one for Texas and the NBA. Covered all the bases 😉
  24. Jordan is on the list. Rushmore means 4.
