  1. I'm trying to be in this boat too but I don’t know if I've ever experienced a season where so many wins felt like losses due to abysmal performances but I guess I have to look at Clemson, Penn St & Florida St and be thankful.
  2. Thanks!! I was having a serious case of deja vu.
  3. I don't know why but I thought I read this exact news a couple months ago.
  4. I believe Mason Shipley handled those on the two games Stone missed.
  5. He's why I was so confused why everyone was so high on Arizona St coming into the year. Yeah, their coach is cool and Leavitt escaped a few sacks but Skatebo was everything fir them last year, especially in our game.
  6. Hopefully we finally get to see it but I'm not sure I've seen a consistent offensive system from Texas that didn't make me want to scratch my eyes out since Penders. Sure, there was a year or two here and there with Barnes ('03, '07, '08, '11) where it looked decent but largely through Barnes, Smart, Beard & Terry it has all been really bad compared to the rest of cbb.
  7. Don't they always pass the eye test? Has there been years where you've seen them in a similar setting and said "this is going to be a long year"??
  8. According to the ESPN app, the Florida game on 10/4 will be at 2:30pm. We catch a break avoiding a night game in the Swamp.

  9. Getting athletes with size like Etute, Abii, Sitaya Fagan and Olivia Vukosa would go a long way in allowing us to really compete with the South Carolinas and UConns of the world.
  10. Who was the DB? I remember losing Quinn & Burrows but don't recall a DB.
  11. Should help that Spaight is an AAU teammate of newest commit Amalia Holguin.
  12. It's looking closer to he who shall not be named unfortunately.
  13. Sellers or no Sellers...SC wasn't beating Vandy. SC, like us, hasn't looked good all year and needed some special teams magic to pull away from Virginia Tech in Atlanta. The very next week, Vandy rolls into Blacksburg and easily destroys Va Tech in front of their home crowd. Transitive properties don't always work out simple but sometimes they do. If we were playing Vandy next week, I don't think I would feel very confident in predicting a Texas win.
  14. We don't have Notre Dame's Oline or a Jeremiyah Love on our roster.
  15. This was something I noticed last year and was the one thing I was worried about regarding Arch coming into the year. So many Texas fans took that skill that Quinn displayed effortlessly for granted and just assumed we'd keep that and add Arch's deep ball & mobility.
  16. Obviously, its on the coaches to keep the talent flowing on both sides of the ball. Brooks was great when healthy but he wasn't the same type of back that Bijan & Roschon were especially in the red zone. Jamaal Charles was one of the best RBs to ever lace them up but I don't believe he'd help our red zone issue the way a Cody Johnson could.
  17. I don't disagree but we've had some game-changing injuries on the offensive end. How does the '23 team fare vs Washington with a healthy Jonathan Brooks, Xavier Worthy & Keilan Robinson? We beat them and that Michigan team wasn't exactly built to take advantage of our weak link (the secondary). How does last year's game vs Ohio St play out if Texas has a healthy CJ Baxter, Matthew Golden & Isaiah Bond? We probably should've also played Goosby over Williams at RT. Most knew going into that game that the winner of that game was most likely your national champion. We've been excruciatingly close to hoisting NC trophies the last 2 years. Not 2008-09 close but pretty dang close nonetheless.
  18. The answer is very clear, '21-'22 had Bijan & Rojo while '23-'24 did not.
  19. Clark & Simon. Looking for more explosivity from the RB position.
  20. As much as his size concerns you I'd love to have him as a wildcat option the way Ole Miss used that one 325 lb D-lineman last year. Would go a long way to solving our red-zone issues.
  21. I have heard you guys mention time and time again how devastating CJ Baxter's knee injury was. For context, on a scale of Jonathan Brooks' acl tear to Marcus Lattimore's complete destruction of the knee, how bad was Baxter's injury??
  22. The guy said if he was a 5 star WR he doesn't know that he'd pick Texas. That was the overreaction to Saturday. Outside of Ohio State and probably LSU I'm not sure there's another team in the country that's done better with their WRs than Texas under Sark. Bond before injury looked more explosive here than he ever looked at Bama. Mitchell made many explosive plays here even if he didn't look like a 4.35 guy at the time. We also took Golden who was more known as a Kickoff return guy and turned him into a complete WR and 1st round pick. Don't get me wrong I would LOVE to have a Dakorien Moore or Ryan Williams type but we've been pretty dang good at developing the talent at the position since Sark arrived.
  23. This is what we call an overreaction. How quickly do we forget what Xavier Worthy, Adonai Mitchell, Matthew Golden, and a healthy Isaiah Bond looked like in this offense.
  24. On which play are you referring to?
