  1. A step forward or forward and a slide to his left helps Banks out a lot here. Kelvin was beaten, but QE standing stock still on the circle aim point didn’t help matters.
  2. Penn State is going to get tired of playing bridesmaid pretty soon, and Michigan isn’t going to let Moore bumble around for 2 more years.
  3. That feels like Brennan Marion’s next stop on the coaching trail to me.
  4. A really great point. Not so much for Sark not calling the big boy throws, but Quinn, not unlike a RB coming back from an ACL tear, not trusting his body to perform without rein-jury or pain. That would jive with his happy feet, short arms, and generally not trying to rip many throws down field.
  5. Michigan isn’t beating OSU this year unless Will Howard loses his mind again and forgets that the game has a play clock he must abide by.
  6. Some men just want watch the world burn. Probably after they’ve put mayo on a Fletcher’s product.
  7. I’d honestly like to see more of this kind of thing. Own up to what’s been said. Help the other guy up on the field. Rarely see this anymore. There’s a ton of emotion, energy, media and money associated with college athletics, but ultimately it’s just a game. Beat on each other between the whistles and then back to being humans trying to get through this thing we call life when it’s over.
  8. Sark looking sheepish every time he sneaks a bite of that corn dog.
  9. Honest question…..how would we know if a pass attempted by DJU was one of his normal efforts or one effected by broken digits on his throwing hand?
  10. Some players should wear capes, because some players can credibly pull off that look after the snap.
  11. Not Hairy Gerry might need his own logo.
  12. It needs to read “Mobile Commando Unit.”
  13. Probably the same number of us who had us undefeated, double digit margin of victory champions against a road slate of Alabama and Michigan. Which is nobody.
  14. I’m excited to see The Lourd take snaps Saturday night.
  15. Makes me wonder if there might be sports divisions based on an NIL range, because the number of schools that can really play this game to it’s fullest extent is quite small.
  16. Sarcasm? It’s tired gamesmanship and nothing more.
  17. Is 2024 Arch akin to where 2023 Quinn was as a passer?
  18. If he had hit 20.8 mph you would have seen some serious s**t.
  19. Definitely in the minority. Nope, but they won by 4 TD’s and then performed a Thuggee cult ritual in Madison on national tv whereas Georgia treated an average Clemson Tigers team like a house cat in Springfield before just barely surviving a an extended pillow fight against another set of domesticated felines in Lexington.
  20. UT fans need to get comfortable with that #1 hanging out before Texas. I assure you that players from Bama, UGA and OSU don’t get in a twist about it, and their fans take it in stride. Texas fans have been beaten down for so long that we’re afraid to think it’s true. UT has looked like the best team in the nation besides Alabama, and Bama hasn’t played anyone. You could almost say that about UT as Michigan isn’t a rolling ball of butcher knives this year.
  21. It would behoove defenses to substitute, if the offense allows it, on critical downs and take their sweet time doing it imoho. The offense can still reconnoiter with motion and shifts, but the radios cut off with 15 seconds left on the clock, and no coaching tips or impromptu brain transplants would be available. That applies to the defense too, but you’re back to player on player situations and the preparation leading up to it in those instances with no coach input. It also makes sense then to have very versatile players on the field in anticipation of those critical downs so that offensive substitutions are minimized and the defense can’t slow roll the play clock with personnel games.
  22. I’ve seen this pop up on YouTube and will have to give it a look. Something I noticed on the rewatch was something on our first drive of the third quarter. It’s second or third and long. Texas had tried to get big and run on Michigan to start the drive and Blue tripped on his bad wheel followed by a failed tunnel screen. Texas lines up and you can already see Michigan with on safety easing down while the corners start scooching back. Quick cut to Sark and you see him yelling “7, 7, 7, 7!” Quinn play actions to one side and then lobs a pass over the LB’s and Helm to Bond running a deep out. Coincidence or was Sark telling QE who’d be open presnap?
  23. It’s hard to get a TE of Gunnar Helms’ ability off the field. He catches everything, Quinn trusts him and he does that blocking thing too which seems to be something Niblack is far less adept at. I suspect Niblack gets a lot of run with the 2-3’s in the next 3 games and may have his moment to crack open the door with the coaches or solidify his role as very interesting slot receiving mismatch slated for occasional use in 24.
  24. I have this notion wandering around upstairs that we’re seeing the remolding of our rushing attack into a more gap centric offense where IZ is a change up and not a feature due to Baxter’s loss. A lot of power, PNP, C sweep, counter and so on and so forth have featured prominently in the first two games. I look for our rushing attack to continue to improve as we rep these plays more and more and the reads and if/then rules become more and more natural for our OL. Possibly speaking completely out of my bass on that, but we love to run left with pulling OL this year.
