  1. Jammer’s cousin or some such? Lee Jackson and Quadre Diggs dropped in on the chat. It’s funny, when I was growing up down that way Angleton was kinda the sketch town on the edges of the greater Lake Jackson, Clute and Freeport Metroplex. In fact, we called the local community college UCLA for University of Clute, Lake Jackson and Angleton. Now Angleton is the nice place to be with the good schools and athletic programs as new neighborhoods are built up along 288 and the bordering town are built out and aging.
  2. Someone remind me if looking feckless at the plate was how we got to #1.
  3. Unfortunately they had James Franklin return to lose more big games by turtling.
  4. Just 20k more before Gerry Hamilton’s annual swim suit calendar is sent free to all OG’s
  5. I know you get off on confrontation when we possible. You can indulge elsewhere. I’m not here for your jollies.
  6. Memory is fading in who he was talking to. I get it. In one sense he was just trying to “help his guys” as he was on the way out, and also be up front with recruits, but it was also a low thing to do to his replacement. You commit to the school and not the staff was a thing until it wasn’t I guess.
  7. The standard wasn’t who left. The standard was that he was actively trying to undermine the roster. Also, Mack out “killing himself” on the road for the Florida recruit was clearly a move to get him out of Austin and away from the heat.
  8. Patterson, and his wildly out of touch former NBA hype agent something or other Israel were completely misaligned with the fans and collegiate sports, but Mack tried to destroy the roster on the way out and undermine his successor. Btw, I can’t remember that lady’s first name, we can thank her for jetpack man, but watching her fingerprints on the program made me consider a new meaning to the phrase “Drive Israel into the sea.” She had no idea what she was doing.
  9. I think the injury to Colt in the MNC game knocked Mack’s antenna off and he lost his way. He completely abandoned what he had built his program to be, and, while know what was wrong, seemed to lose the ability to lead it in the right direction again. And then he lost his head when the inevitable was clear.
  10. How can a program as storied as OU have a stadium that fugly?
  11. Mizzou’s 3 run HR with two outs in game two made it more exciting than it needed to be. Looked like a cold miserable day to play ball. Glad they swept.
  12. That’d be pretty high cotton for UT basketball. We’ve been to 3 Final Fours in the 86 year history of the NCAA tournament, and people are acting like it’s a birthright around here.
  13. Forget the 65’s and ask why Pat Mahommes is lifting with the team.
  14. Yeah. During last football season. But not recently. He’s probably just a larda**, but there’s a chance he’s trying to reduce his rotundity.
  15. Might be one of those cats who fasts all day and has a small window to eat his heart out. I worked with a guy who’d lost 50 lbs by fasting until 11am, eating anything he wanted until 2pm and then fasting until the same time the next day. We went to lunch one day, had a lot of TexMex and I was considering taking a bit of siesta when we got back to the hotel when he piped up about the next restaurant he wanted to go to. I would call his eating process akin to Cookie Monster at a Cumbl buffet, but he was dropping weight.
  16. Still carrying about 10 more LBs than I’d like, but I’m working on it.
  17. I dunno, kids might flock to him rolling to practice on a burnt orange Rascal. I’m not worried as much about that as seeing how his man proclivities lines up with tendency to play cover three match to near exclusion.
  18. I don’t know if it’s the best or most unexpected, but I always enjoy the Bing Crosby/ David Bowie collaboration of Peace On Earth/ Little Drummer Boy around Christmas. Don’t know why. Has the right feels.
  19. I liked that new near side armed delivery by Duplantier. That could be nasty if he really grows into it.
  20. Oh, I’ve had to modify my diet and hydration greatly. Things are better, but it’s a biological deficiency of mine. I was passing one in HS and they did an X-ray to see if I had any more. There were 20 on deck. 11 on one side and 9 on the other. Lithotripsied them all. Lotta pain there afterwards. Now they use lasers and play Asteroids until the rocks are gone, but it’s still nightmare fuel. But I’m down to passing a small one every 5-6 years now that we know what’s up.
  21. Sounds like the difference between a gratifying post retirement pursuit and working for a living.
  22. Chuck Norris puts the martial art into artesian. It is to be expected that his brand of water kicks a**. Actually, I have kidney stone issues which pretty much limit me to water and lemonade. Sprite is ok too. Beer, tea ( I really miss my sweet tea), coffee and most colas are generally off limits. I’ll give his Walker Texas Rain Water a try.
  23. Water. I live on that s***.
  24. Lake Jackson. Went to school in Louisiana, lived there for 6 years, ran into some trouble, married her and drug her back to Texas. In Keller for 21 years, but looking to move to the fringes of the metroplex to get some more elbow room.
