    Thank you for your service to this country. I have numerous family members that were in the military. First thing they do is break you down. They don’t let you take it easy. There are consequences for your actions. Cook can’t change right away. He has to acknowledge his issues and work on them.

    Never understood why we get joy out of somebody struggling. Texas saw something good in this kid when they signed him. From his lack of playing time, his comments on Quinn, to where he literally is right now is tragic. Nobody wants him. He’s clearly on a downhill path to nowhere. That’s so sad to me. This guy is still a kid. When I see players like this, to me, he is searching for his identity. He seems like someone who has always gotten by on his talent alone. Talent is no longer letting him act the way he acts. Which forces him to finally ask “who am I if I am not a football player?” Remember he didn’t get kicked off the team. I would imagine Texas kept him on the team to try and prevent what is happening now. He has nobody to go to. All you can do is pray for him.

    The call was bad. At the time I was wondering what in the world made him do that? He cleared that up for me. If you make that call then go with Blue. The call makes no sense because when you are stacked in like that speed stands out.

    Bad call but I am fine with what he said. He didn’t expect the sack fumble. They had two timeouts and thought he could get the ball back. The score to end the half was a back breaker. Why blitz?

    Penders year weren’t all bad, it ended bad ,but resulted in Rick Barnes being hired. That may be the first time anyone has said that. Clearly both had a chemistry together. Honestly though all those that hate RT should point it towards Beard. Beard actions resulted in the hiring of RT

    @Gerry Hamilton when football is over I think the board would appreciate your analysis of the season. What exactly is wrong, whether it’s the school, NIL donors(BMDs), the coach or all of the above? What players aren’t what you thought they were. What needs to happen for Texas to truly get back to Barnes glory days? And yeah status of the coach. Thanks in advance.

    I wouldn’t say they are struggling for football money. It’s more of a pride thing. They believe their name trumps money. Interesting that they start to struggle after paying a kid is legal.

    Man don’t be hesitant to post. More basketball discussion doesn’t hurt. My opinion is Texas can always offer top dollar for coaches. With basketball I don’t see a splash hire out there now. One that will actually come. Just my opinion though. Others disagree.

    I always tell Aggies thanks for the coach when they say something to me. Two things have been true since my dad took me to my first Longhorn game. Football is king and baseball is good. Baseball is supported. It always has been. Not the same for basketball. Basketball has always been entertainment when football ends.

    We could discuss your sabbatical on some boat that you jumped off of right before the basketball season started a few years back. That’s probably worse.

    You think Nate Oats leaves a rabid fan base that travels, solid recruiting, huge NIL and a completely supportive donor base to come here. They will match any raise to keep him. So he leaves everything he has to come to virtually no fan base, a budgeted NIL a fractured donor base to come here? And have to face Alabama every year. You’re thinking Texas can just throw money and people come running. That’s football not basketball.

    He’s an extremely knowledgeable poster. He does volleyball game threads here on his own. Nobody asks him to do that. He started the game thread here probably because he thought there would not be one. Really good guy.

    They literally waited until he was completely healthy to play him. They just don’t have that point guard to run the offense. I think RT finally said I am going with Larry. He was in the game for most of the half.
