This is a crazy saga, and really concerned how this might impact the team culture this close to the season starting?! By all accounts he was a great teammate and good kid. Heck he was even one of the first players to do media this camp if memory serves. Its really hard not to want to pry abd get more answers about this whole thing!

Really sad to hear for this young man and the team. I hope whatever is going on with him gets sorted out and he’s able to finish his career and get a great education! Wishing the best for him and whatever he’s dealing with.

Howdy? The indoctrination starts as soon as they step on campus. Imagine how much “fun” this was before they allowed women to go to school there!

Surprised they extended this early. Would think they’d want to wait and see how this year plays out…

The NFL is probably most concerned about scheduling with the playoffs expanding so it doesn’t intrude on their rating dominance after the college regular season. Which to be frank is probably part of the reason why the CFP scheduling is so wacky. However, the NFL is going to be too dog because ultimately they have the product that everyone wants to watch. College football because of the limitations on eligibility and talent sailing is just not going to overtake the NFL. I do think however, that there may be more synergy with with NFL both with rules and tv contracts to ensure that revenue is raised for all involved. E.g. the rising tide lifts all boats. I can also see smaller schools going to spring ball to get a share of viewers they wouldn’t otherwise have access to. Wild times for sure. The NFL is not oblivious imo

I agree, not to mention his son was a pretty good ball player and national champion for us too… Love me some Lance Gunn, David Thomas, Arch, and Taaffe! But until you go 20-0 as a starter Street is the goat!

Tom Herman, to be fair, was EVERY blue blood’s dream coach. He unfortunately turned out to be completely unqualified, spineless, immoral, and arrogant once he got a job at the Texas level.

Patterson was a hatchet man and was the tool to end all tools. He single handedly set Texas athletics back a decade treat the fans and UT faculty/staff like trash.
