  1. Tremendous ! Hope he keeps it up and makes some money doing what he enjoys.
  2. Yeah, but a Qb with not much experience, and no experience in a big away game to have some jitters and over throws, or rocket some touch passes might should have been expected. I think because of Arch’s pregame confidence we all thought he would go out and murder them. And granted, he not only didn’t do that, but missed the easy passes that need to be completed. I think some are just saying lighten up on Arch in regards to the insane “he’s a bust”, or “reminds me of Garrett Gibert” comments . Those posts are just assinine considering the small sample size. And for a QB in this day and age with his clout to sit out for 2 years and wait, we can probably be a little patient as a fan base as well. I can give you a list of great QBs that started off some games rocky in their first year. And he showed some signs of progression near the end of the game . That’s all we need is for him to get better . He has the pedigree, work ethic, and character to do so. If he’s better next time we meet an elite team, he’s the difference. Special teams and defenses were as my kids would say “fire”.
  3. Watch the play. He had good coverage, knocked the ball out. The future NFL receiver made a rematch and a good play. They weren’t playing an FCS schiil. Guilbeau had inside leverage. All the defense played well, including Guilbeau. You’re wrong. The result doesn’t always equal what happened.
  4. All of you people hating on Arch are showing your ignorance of how a QB can develop . For him to go out and ball out would have been an anomoly. What we have is a leader with good character, and a hard worker that will get it fixed. Look at Peyton, Vince, Colt, none of them started well. And given time I could give you probably 5 more examples. He played bad, fine, he has to play better, but quit hating. It’s a small sample size and you are showing your ignorance of how this stuff works . You are game day posters. We are lucky to have a Manning. Stuck with the program for 2 years and raised right. We can stick by him for at least more than one game. Sheesh.
  5. Gracen Littleton was not just good. He was good against the best player in college football. What does that make him. Little early, but Jadae 2.0 ??
  6. You guys have a great team with generational receivers. We kind of shut down the passing game as well considering. I doubt many teams hold your 2 top receivers to under 50 yds each. Moral victory I know, but we have to have something to build on . We need to clean up penalties and Arch needs to grow. I was happy with defense and kicking game . They played winning football. Hope we see you again
  7. You’re good, thank you for joining and good game. We will maybe see you again with and improved QB and game plan.
  8. More specific pluses : Gracen Littleton and punter (not going to try and spell his name)
  9. Colt and VY had some bad games at first. Arch needs some time. We just hoped it would click better today. It actually would have been an anomaly if he had balled out. We just wished for better. And the red zone problems didn’t help anything So yeah it’s on Sark, not a new QB making his first big game start on the road. Sark is a great coach overall, we just need to not be meathead in the red zone
  10. That was good coverage. Just made a play.
  11. They are creative in the run game, we are not.
  12. I think if we wouldn’t have gotten down so close on that 3rd down he might have kicked it. It was too tempting for him from the inch line.
  13. At least we are getting some meathead Ryan Day at the goaline, is it contagious?
  14. We were hoping we woukd get meathead Ryan Day that tried to just power up the middle, we weren’t expecting meathead Sark . This is how Ohio State looses to Michigan every year, and we are playing thee Ohio State role.
  15. And corn dogs with mayo while watching longhorn livestream at night.
  16. Agree with this, and there is precedent to back up for this to possibly be the play. Sark with a new QB (Quinn) in Alabama #1 at DKR, jumped all over Bama with an aggressive opening script. It worked until the late hit/Quinn injury. Only difference is Sark knew what Saban was going to show on defense. He’s probably not so sure this time around, so might feel things out.
  17. Good for him! Go Quinn. Hope he gets rid of the jitters and realize his potential . Won us a lot of games.
  18. What Ohio State fans might not know is the Texas O line, although bringing in 4 new starters, have played a lot of football as well. They have some starts over the years and been seasoning under Kyle Floods development. I will say it is an unknown how it will go for sure with some minor injuries sustained in camp, but if healthy, they should be ready to go. Also, Arch Manning should have a better pocket presence than displayed last year by Quinn. He is a freshman, but his legs and awareness of pressure are superior to what you saw last year.
  19. Tailoring your defense to combat your opponents strengths each week (Matt Patricia, Belichick way) might be a little easier to teach to seasoned pros who’s livelihood depends on there time in film rooms and understanding of defensive and offensive schemes. College kids will have a harder time executing this week in and week out. If you’ve ever coached kids before, even young kids (especially young kids that is) you know what you want to do, and what you can do might be 2 different things.
  20. This is more what I was thinking also. Candy with Tennessee, and OU or Arky with Aggie
  21. Sam, Colt, and even Vince are having and had good careers in the NFL. I’ll take millions to tote a clipboard. And they perform when they have to come in a game in a mi yes notice and can win games. It’s the highest level of football in the world. Being second string ain’t bad.
  22. It’s Sayin, (just sayin) the competition is a facade. The rationale is not about transfer it’s we have to prepare for both QBs now. That’s fine . Sayin can make any throw on the field, and he has the weapons to get to the marks. We will just have to be ready for a battle. These are the best receivers we will face for sure all year. Can’t bank on Sayin not being ready. And freshman QBs always play Heisman type performances against us, see Caleb Williams. We just have to play to our defenses potential, and not take this lightly. And our freshman Qb happens to be good as well. He needs a good opening. Also, we are happy for you to join the discussion.
