  1. I agree, his biggest problem is his lack of pocket presence and escapability. I’m not so sure this can be taught, but some of that seems to be a mental thing. Maybe he can get better at the improv stuff and be serviceable or even bettwr.
  2. Quarterbacks seem to be hard to project. Some you think will do will well, don’t. Some you can’t imagine succeeding, are stars and lead teams to championships. I think Quinn Ewers legacy will be a product of the situation in which he gets drafted. I think we also forget that he graduated early from high school and his trajectory and skills can still go up. He has all the physical tools, but he needs his head right. Maybe some of the injuries got him out of sorts, and never let him become consistent? Thoughts?
  3. Fans seem to be portal crazy this offseason and are calling for experience at every position We can’t have insurance policies at every position in case of injury. Some people even wanted a QB?! 1. 2 questions, Where are you going to get these portal additions that want to come in experienced and be backups? If you prefer them to be starters (which if there is an outstanding talent with experience I understand) then when are the high level recruits that are sophomores and juniors we have going to get their experience? We are just to not play our own players again and then portal every year new experienced players that haven’t grown up in the system, because we have the same problem next year? 2. People forget portal goes both ways. We have a good balance at the moment of losing players that don’t hurt too bad. We aren’t guaranteed for this to continue if we get greedy. If we take players that are just as good and have just as much potential as our sophomores and juniors, we stand for those players that have waited and worked hard to leave. Then guess what? We still don’t have depth or insurance against injury. Then we lose good players from our own team that had multiple years left of eligibility for a one year wonder. 3. The staff has so far kept a nice balance of adding best available and bringing our younger players along that are ready to make their first starts. I trust they will keep this going. We don’t want to lose depth underneath and get dependent on the portal at multiple positions like we are at D tackle. 4. I’m writing this with a hat on indoors and wearing an uncollared shirt, and besides not knowing if I spelled uncollared right I plan on ending this sentence in a preposition. Oh wait, crap, even I can’t stand that.
  4. Deandre Moore and Wingo have better chemistry with Arch.
  5. I don’t want to get my hopes up, but if we can use some of these plus size athletes (Terry, Townsend, Winston) in two back sets and out wide ala Debo Samuel’s hunting mismatches that is exciting. I could go for some more positionless football.
  6. I’m talking about using tight ends more like fullbacks. Lead blocking and power running. That’s not a stretch. 🤷
  7. Some fixes for the redzone/goaline ?
  8. Eric Metcalf football BMW basketball
  9. Offensive and Defensive lineman also have the longest developmental curve of any position and sometimes breakout in their latter years. So you never know. Soccer player that is relatively new to football (like Christian Jones) that has OK stats (not great in his first years like Sweat) might just trend up in his final years with development and good coaching. He was also behind NFL players on a national championship team at tOSU. Context matters
  10. Check on. I’m a terrible speller of even the simplest words, and no disrespect to Mukuba. I have a foreign name and I experience it being mispronounced and misspelled a lot.
  11. Sorry, Mukuba. You have a lot of time? You should change your name to spell police.
  12. I agree, but turning around and scoring so fast the next drive was nice too. Then the Makuba INT to seal it. We said, that was cute, but get back down where you belong Big 12.
  13. Love the storm trooper icy whites though.
  14. What a great acquisition. Listened to the blitz from the start (the UT football dark years). Cant wait for the Oline insight and baseball knowledge! Welcome Jeff.
  15. But it’s one a lot might disagree with.
  16. I think Florida will be our toughest in season game next year, (provided Lagway is healthy).
  17. We don’t need cornerbacks! Take one you lose one.
  18. Maybe we gave the blueprint to defense against Jeremiah Smith! I do think Ohio State has more avenue's to victory, but I like the Nortre Dame coach.
  19. Catholics vs Cornhicks ! I'm for Notre Dame
  20. Reunite the blitz! Would be historic, and take OTF over 100,000.
  21. Hutson, DJ, Robertson, Neto, Agbo, Goosby, Cojoe, Baker, and Chatman all have game experience. They have rotated a little
  22. So bummed about Longhorn network. Won’t really feel the loss until this baseball season. Felt it a little in Volleyball.
