  1. I'm with you to a point. Keep in mind... Average NFL WR height is 6 FT according to worldmetrics.org. In 2021, NFL.com says around 5-11 193 is the average height and weight of NFL CBs. Michigan, NC and best D in college, just started a 5-9 CB for multiple seasons. Mike played fantastic and was drafted in the 2nd round. Mike Sainristil. 5'9" 182 lbs | CB | MICH. 2nd Round 50th Overall. Career Stats (62 games)-108 TAK (70 solo), 10.5 TFLs, 3 SACKS, 7 INTs, 13 PD and 2 FF Sure 5-10 can be a disadvantage vs taller guys like AD Mitchell, Wingo and Livingstone. But it wouldn't be a concerning height mismatch vs Bond, Bolden, Golden, Cook and Moore. 5-9 Quandre the Giant Diggs had a nice TX career. Had 1 game vs TCU where it was a height mismatch downfield. Still had a great NFL career. TX commit Caleb Chester CB is listed at 6-1 and 6-2. But Caleb might be at a disadvantage vs the quicker and faster WRs. Devin ran a 10.65 100M as a soph. Devin is still young so he might make 5-11 and weigh 190. His floor is probably around 5-10 180. Watch his JR highlights, he can play. If we aren't getting Sanchez or Brew or Lee OOS, speedster Devin Williams might be the right complement to 6-2 Caleb and hopefully Kade Phillips.
  2. CJ, appreciate you putting a finer point on his actual height. I've seen him listed at 5-9 and 5-11. Noteworthy, Williams ran 10.65, 10.68 and 10.7 100M as a soph. His highlights show he has fairly long arms for his height and good coverage ability. Also made plays as a WR to suggest good ball skills. Sounds like TX made a strong move. Good to hear Devin is down to Auby and TX with a future visit for a TX game.
  3. CJ thanks for posting the latest and greatest Emaree Winston recorded update. Emaree is not the tallest HB/TE prospect but he looks stout and his highlights are good. Happy to hear Emaree Winston is locked in to his TX commitment. Interesting to hear Emaree say two-way Townsend could play offense or defense at TX. His highlights on both sides of the ball (TE & DE) are impressive.
  4. Fantastic work OTF! Great insights with a mature, classy, smart outlook on life and sports. The Bell family is special! My first choice was pass first DT-QB Dia Bell after reading his stats and watching his highlights. Even more pleased after listening. Hook Em Raja Bell!
  5. Agree, Amari looked great physically this spring. Amari is not bulking up significantly in the weight room this summer to be a blocking inline TE. He doesn't have the body type to be that guy. Amari will be an effective weapon in the passing game for Sark. In 2023, Amari Niblack started four of 14 games, recording 20 receptions for 327 yards and four touchdowns for Bama. Bama listed him at 233lbs. Excited to have his length, speed, large catch radius, chain moving ability and explosive playmaking ability. I don't know the run blocking ability of Amari but he can stress the D when we run RPO. We have 6-5 250 Helm for inline TE run blocking or a 6th lineman.
  6. Not a longtime Texas kid. Did not have Longhorn ties. Had OH, OH St and LSU ties. Only been in Texas since 2023. Grew up in OH and is a OH St fan. Obviously Gerry knows more than me but I havent heard Brew say we now lead before his OH St OV. I expect Northmount, Ohio native Brew to commit to Ohio St. Interview I heard before summer was glowing Ohio and Ohio St talk from Brew. Ohio St talked to Brew about starting out at NB but could go back to CB. Liked his versatility to be able to play safety. Ohio St cut ties with OH St commit Woodby CB in May to allow more room for Brew. OH St would have six young and highly rated CBs (three 5-star CBs in this class) if Brew joined. Also numerous safeties, maybe 4 young prospects in two years plus transfer 5-star Downs S. Somebody good will transfer out of OH St in a year or two because they dont have a path to play in their secondary. TX only got a mid week OV from Brew. Glad to read he had a 10 out of 10 TX visit. Depth Chart at Texas is more inviting. It is recruiting with NIL and more favorable depth chart so we could win out against the odds. But I'll be surprised if we get Brew to commit this summer. Maybe come in 2nd and get Brew to flip late in the year if all goes well or get Brew in the transfer portal like we did with Ryan Watts from OH St. My two cents. Hope I am wrong and happily surprised with a TX commit. 🤘
  7. Glad we have our top QB to lead the way and help build the best 2026 recruiting class. Classy tweets to express gratitude and give thanks by father Raja and son Dia.
  8. Would be a big WYNN for TX. 😉
  9. Was not expecting 4 from Gerry but that is what I heard. Mills, Moore are often mentioned. Pettijohn possibly. Other likely possibilities?
  10. Hopefully Dakorien Moore
  11. Speed is essential at the highest level vs top competition and a pretty important component of separation. We don't beat Bama without the speed of Worthy and Mitchell. TX WR evals seem pretty good for the most part. Most importantly our priority #1 WRs to add to the team over the years are fast and effective. Added Worthy in year 1, later Cook, transfer Mitchell, Wingo, transfer Bond, and now D Moore. That's 2 NFL players after productive careers with the possibility for all 6. Worthy 1st rounder was the fastest in NFL combine history. Mitchell early 2nd was blazing fast as well with 4.3 40. Wingo was 10.5 100M. Bond ran 10.48. Moore ran 10.4. Much better than the past alternative of Herman and Mehringer originally believing tall but slow Garrett Gray was a WR starter at TX.
  12. I know nothing but his bio. Experienced and appears to have had a positive role in player development with a few programs. Gerry, any pertinent comments on Darby Rich and Texas?
  13. Thx Gerry, I will tune in. Sark certainly had legendary mentors. Sark has been a masterful play caller at times. HC Sark, in his own way, appears to be a great program builder like his legendary mentors. Sark has been growing as a HC while at TX. Sark is genuine and likeable in the media. Sark is my type of recruiter and roster builder. Sark wants to develop his players and get them to the NFL. Finally! TX fans appreciate that Sark has a championship vision for the Longhorns. Impressive to see Texas football entering the SEC with some well earned respect after leaving with a Big 12 Championship and CFP appearance. Now Sark and Texas have another great and challenging opportunity with a great roster.
  14. What did that cost em? 6-5 250 Armstrong may develop into a great blocking TE because he is so big. Kiotti had solid production vs 4A competition. While Kiotti Armstrong doesn't resemble Brock Bowers, Kiotti has Sunday upside with his size. Will be interesting to see if Armstrong still takes a TX June OV. We flipped Ag commit Hill last season. Will we try to flip Armstrong? Sark and Banks may prefer to focus on Townsend and/or Edwards because they would be better in a Sark passing attack than Armstrong. 6-3 225 Two-way Townsend was more dynamic than Kiotti. Faster than Kiotti. Impressive 23yds per catch. 6-6 235 Edwards was much more production for 2 seasons than Kiotti. Impressive 19yds per catch.
  15. SEC has been the best conference for some time for many reasons including leadership and self promotion. As it stands now, we don't have any true SEC highlights for promotion. First TX players to make plays in the SEC may see the play repeated in SEC promotions for years. These Texas players have a chance to make SEC immortality if they make an iconic big play in a big game.
  16. Top 4 OLs are all SEC teams. Coach Flood has done a tremendous job recruiting for the OL room and developing our OL. As DKR once said before the big event "We're ready." 🏉 Excited to see the contract year for LT Banks Jr, LG Conner Sr and C Majors Sr. RG DJ is in year 3 and another year better. Should be fun seeing Big Cam finally show his stuff for a season as a starter. We also have good depth with Hutson, Neto, Agbo, Robertson, Chatman, Goosby, Cojoe, Baker, Cruz, etc. 🤘🏈
  17. Tough choice between the two. Agree, Michael Terry ATH closer to Amari Niblack based on film and photos. Terry is maybe a cross between Amari Niblack, Cordarelle Patterson and a little bit of JT Sanders. If we get Kiotti or Edwards, I prefer adding Terry ATH. If we don't get Kiotti or Edwards, I prefer adding Townsend TE. Happy with either addition. Kiotti Armstrong, Michael Terry and/or Nick Townsend would be fantastic imo! Because we have Washington TE and not much else after we lose our 3 oldest TE/HBs, I would be pleased with the right 3 TE/HBs this recruiting cycle. Coach Banks and Co have done a remarkable job to get underrated Washington TE signed, Winston HB committed and now 5 June TX OVs with realky good prospects. Need to close the deal on at least 2 prospects.
  18. Thanks for posting Gerry. Appreciciate the post on Ohio St RB room being overrated closetojumping. Georgia running behind a great OL helps. 5.9ypc Etienne is well established. Recruiting so well means they almost have to have a top RB room. Agree Penn St has two NFL backs to justify including Penn St in the top 10 or top 5 and over KS imo and I like KS Neal RB. Since I'm not aware of everyone's RB room, this is a leap of faith TX homer take.....Speedster Blue, with 6.1ypc in limited action, has the measureables and talent to perform similar to 1st rd NFL RB Jahmyr Gibbs if given the opportunity. Baxter will be noticeably better after the year of development. Wisner is sort of Keilan 2.0 with a little more power and size. Add in Gibson and Clark just in case. Texas seems like a top 5 RB room if Blue, Baxter and Wisner play like I believe they can.
  19. TY. Yes I am aware of Brew's OH ties and his Mom's OHST ties from her track days. Just thought we would at least get a June weekend TX OV considering we don't have four young 5* CBs plus other highly rated CBs like OHSt competing for 2 spots, 3 if you count NB.
  20. Yep. And stay healthy which was a problem at A&M (ankle and leg injuries slowed his progress and caused him to miss some games). Texas listed #3.
  21. Glad to read Michael Terry III is a Texas priority. Fantastic prospect. Don't want to lose him to Nebraska or especially A&M.
  22. Appreciate the early morning heads up Gerry. 4* Woodby CB decommitted from OHST recently. Hope this wasn't to make room for Brew CB. OH St has 6 CBs in the last 2 classes including 4 elite CBs (5* Scott CB, High 4* West CB, 5* Sanchez CB '25 commit, 5* Offord CB '25 commit). Ducks signed 6 top CBs last cycle (3 recruits and 3 transfers). O and OHSt are loaded with top CB talent. In the next 2 years, I predict at least 1 highly rated CB will transfer from OHST and O. You would think Brew would at least take a home state OV since the path to playing time at Texas is not so daunting compared to OHST and O.
  23. Nope, stupid Ags recruited Leon SLONeal
  24. Hook Em Caleb Chester! Nice to read Caleb is a culture fit and interested in McCombs Business. A 3* CB by all but Caleb"s offer list looks good including 8 SEC and other power programs. Highlights showed several PBUs and a few tackles. I like his 6-1 long frame. Hope he further develops and earns a 4th star. At Texas, Caleb could contribute on special teams coverage units. If Caleb doesn't develop into a TX CB, he could develop into a 6-2 200# TX Safety. Caleb runs track. Only time I read was a Soph 22.88 200M. How fast is Caleb now? 40 time? 100M? 200M?
  25. So Caleb was the Hi. Thanks Gerry. Knew Caleb was very likely coming at some point but I guessed incorrectly hoping for Michael Terry.
