  1. lol Missouri is still ranked? Must be nice to have the SEC logo next to your name.
  2. I think they both thought Blue had that man, and Blue instead blocked air.
  3. Bolden is ahead of him in the pecking order. Cook needs to be a more consistent practice player.
  4. There is no chance Texas offered him $5 million. I wish the Texas One Fund had that type of money for one player. I’m sure he had a lot of outside endorsement deals but I put the chances of that adding up to $5 million very, very low.
  5. If Boise runs the table, there is a decent chance they could be ranked higher than the Big 12 champ. BYU or Iowa State will not finish undefeated.
  6. Where do you think the edge was heading into the visit for an in-state 5-star DL in Georgia?
  7. Of course there are always tweaks to be made, but there seems to always be this simplistic message board belief that win= you made adjustments! Lose= you didn’t make adjustments! I wish beating Georgia was that easy. I do think Texas found a little something in the second half running the ball (Wisner had 6 rushes the first two drives out of halftime for 26 yards), but the game script got away and forced Texas to continue to have to go to the air.
  8. Some people will truly believe anything.
  9. Coaches are required to go on gameday when their school is hosting. Everyone loved all the shirts and catchphrases a week ago. If coaches had as many knee jerk reactions as message board fans, they would lose their locker room by week 3. You don’t overhaul who you are because you lost to the #5 team in the country who won 2 of the last 3 national titles.
  10. NFL teams aren’t message board fans. They don’t live and die on every play and single game performances. They evaluate and set their draft boards on an entire body of work. At least the smart franchises do.
  11. He didn’t even play against Texas Tech in 2022.
  12. I think it says a lot that on a team with plenty of veteran talent, Tre Johnson was brought to media days.
  13. The change for basketball is long overdue. Teams who missed the tournament or lost early were at an advantage in the portal getting to host guys while a lot of other teams were still playing.
  14. Considering the flight from Eugene to DFW is almost 4 hours, I’m assuming he will be leaving gameday early or be doing it from Dallas.
  15. “Big get” and “leaving for more guaranteed playing time” aren’t usually said together. There is a reason he isn’t playing on a Bama defense that isn’t really that good.
  16. We think Gerry asked Sark if he brought his Lawn Mower 5.0 on the road with him?
  17. Considering MSU went 1 for 3 on third down on their opening drive, I’m going to say this stat is false.
  18. There was a 3 possession stretch in the first half where Texas barely held the ball for over 5 minutes. The offense shares the blame in the time of possession argument.
  19. MSU ran the ball 50 times. The veer and shoot is going to give you some advantages in the run game due to alignment/splits. The longest run of the game was 17 yards and they averaged under 2 yards per carry in the second half. The run defense will be fine. Again, it took 50 carries to get 150 yards.
  20. Sam Houston State played their first full FBS schedule last year. In Conference USA. It’s why Texas added them. Wouldn’t have done it if they were FCS.
  21. At Ohio State San Jose State UTEP Sam Houston State Next year is set.
  22. You are seeing more and more UT graduates having to send their money to OSU, Arkansas, Ole Miss, etc. every year because their children can’t get in. It sucks to see, but I guess they have to draw the line somewhere. Those who truly want to be at Texas will do the CAP program or go to Austin community college for a couple semesters if they can’t get in out of high school.
  23. CSU played Northern Colorado last week, a FCS school that went 0-11 last year, and won by 21. CSU is below UTSA in pretty much every meaningful ranking/power rating (FPI, SP+, etc) It’s not some huge gap but UTSA has a few more individual good players than CSU. Traylor also coaches circles around Jay Norvell. A 52 point margin would be pretty surprising this week.
