  1. The Big12 is a G5 conference with lipstick. Tech should get the G5 champion autobid.
  2. This has to be a TAMU troll. Up 14 vs a crap Mizzou team with 3rd string QB
  3. Forget depth- it remains to be seen how well Tech’s front line starters would hold up against teams that are actually talented and not G5 teams with makeup
  4. Right? Texas would have been EVISCERATED if they spent as much as Tech only to poop the bed vs ASU.
  5. If Texas and TAMU switched their marquee non-conference matchups (Texas @ ND week 2, TAMU @ Ohio State week 1), we would probably still be #1 in the country (if undefeated) or in the Top 5 (if we had lost a game). ND is severely overrated and we matchup very well with them. That ND win is doing championship level lifting for TAMUs season right now. Other than that, they have nothing but non P4 non conference + the bottom half of the SEC. The discrepancy between Texas, TAMU and Tech has everything to do with differences in schedule. The difference between Texas and TAMU’s schedule is drastically different than the mainstream SOS/SOR rankings indicate due to hyperinflation of ND. Tech DOES NOT have the best DL in the country. They just get to go up against Big12 scrub OLs while our DL more than holds it own vs SEC OLs
  6. Eh, they’ve been up and down. Florida and Auburn held them in check fairly well.
  7. No we would have the tiebreaker over Ole Miss in the one conference loss scenario. tiebreakers are: 1. Head to head- not there 2. Record vs common opponents (both one loss, ours to Florida, Ole Miss to UGA) 3. Record vs common opponents starting with highest ranked opponents In this scenario, we beat UGA and Ole Miss lost to UGA so we would have the tiebreaker
  8. Scenarios: I think 9-3 with a close loss to UGA and a win over a 11-1 or 10-2 TAMU would have us as the best 9 win team in the country. We would have to have help in that scenario obviously and make it as the 12 seed if at all. 10-2 would have us as the best 10 win team in the country, in the SEC CG with a potential to even win it, in which case we would likely be the 2 seed. A loss in the SEC CG in that scenario would probably put us as the 5 or 6 seed.
  9. What are all the injuries so far? Have been following on ESPN game tracker
  10. This was the one I was thinking of- 9:30 mark of this UTSA highlight reel: https://youtu.be/eXaLj8Fktd8?si=G9UfE09kzGa6uICr
  11. He had a similar one to Wingo last year vs ULM I believe (could be the wrong game)
  12. Your as honest as your reading comprehension allows
  13. The thread you replied to went like this: First person: ”TAMU may be the best team in the country” Second person: “Stop! Make them come to Austin and prove that first” You: “Honestly, they’ve more than proven it already” You may not have meant it, but in the context of the thread you’re saying A&M’s “more than proven” they’re the best team in the country. And I think that’s an overreaction. TAMU’s claim to fame is beating an overrated ND team early in the season by 1 pt and beating the breaks off a flawed and defeated LSU team. Their schedule has been as favorable as ours has been unfavorable.
  14. You’re overreacting. LSU is the opposite of Texas, no heart and a HC with zero integrity that his players don’t like. TAMU’s other road games were won by an average of 2 points. They are not the best team in the country. They can be beat.
  15. Heart is elite . That’s a distinguishing factor here- under previous regimes, we would get trounced when we didn’t have our crap together and guys would not fight. This team fights. The seeming lack of execution and preparation is a knock on the staff. However, they deserve kudos for instilling heart and fight in these guys. It is admirable how much they’ve scrapped the last 4 weeks, all on the road in big/hostile environments. However ugly it has been. We’ve seen ugly + lack of heart. Here were seeing butt ugly, but no lack of heart. And we’re getting wins as a result. We’re back home 3 out of the next 4, with our FIRST P4 HOME GAME OF THE SEASON next Saturday. If we can pull of a miracle in Athens, 10-2 at the end of the regular season is still attainable. And before you say it, I have NEVER seen an Aggie that I’ve been scared of. We ain’t heartless LSU.
  16. Yeah Penn State and Clemson didn’t survive it. We’re still alive though. Texas Fight
  17. Notre Dame has been huge in CFB since CFB has been CFB. Florida has been a thing in CFB since 1991. It's not even a lateral move- it's a demotion.
  18. I am ill informed about the time period, but I have to imagine DKR had a much better OL (relative to the time period) to work with than Sark and Arch currently have (again relative to their time period)
  19. Btw, most teams in the SEC this year are considerably less dominant on the road than at home
  20. We have not had a full body of conditions to say how the offense will perform in every situation. What other team in the country doesn’t play a P4 team at home until November 1st? We have had one game that people were satisfied with the offense- which just so happened to be the one game we were wearing orange against a P4 team. It’s a possibility. Of course, everyone is really enjoying crapping on the team so it’s not a possibility anyone wants to consider
  21. 1. The team is not good on the road. The offense is clearly an issue, and that is likely exacerbated by a hostile road crowd. 2. The team may play up and down to competition. This is common of young teams We have had zero home games against like or better competition, which I believe might be where we see the team perform its best. The game where the team performed the best was a semi-home game against like or better competition (OU). If we get past MState, I like our chances against Vandy, Arkansas and TAMU at home. The obvious challenge will be UGA on the road.
  22. Double digit wins and the CFP is not impossible this year
