  1. What is the deal exactly with North Shore? Doesn’t seem like it can be coincidence
  2. I think it’s at least -1 of what you’re thinking since Vodney Cleveland’s commitment. I think the total silents out there are closer to 5 total max. Would love to be wrong on that though
  3. From this weekend alone? Does that make 4 or 5 total?
  4. Maybe KJ Edwards will be Mike Elko’s savior when he’s 0-2 vs Texas and trying to pick up his first W in November 2026.
  5. That actor is Mike Judge- writer of King of the Hill and UT system alum 🤘
  6. OTF is the best Texas sports YT channel/podcast out there bar none. The other two that I listen to frequently are 1. Third & Longhorn, 2. Texas Sports Unfiltered with Brad Kellner and Bucky Godbolt in the morning (I don't like the other TSU segments other than Bucky and BK). T&L do excellent interviews with a broad variety of people involved with Texas sports with a football focus. Probably the best Texas sports longform interview forum, honestly. Their volume isn't high though, one or two episodes per week max I think. Rod Babers is involved with most interviews which is cool crossover with OTF. I think Bucky & BK are highly funny/entertaining, but it is less pure Longhorn focused and most of the episode is just them BSing. I generally just listen in after I've exhausted OTF content or there was a major event in UT sports and I want to hear a funny take. Bucky Godbolt is a former RB coach for UT- he was Ricky Williams' coach. Really funny guy
  7. I love it. It virtually always backfires when Brian Kelley needlessly opens his dumb mouth about things like this.

  9. After ensuring Micah Hudson is the highest paid WR in CFB, Tech’s next priority is to use the rest of their money to construct a state of the art Potemkin Village to convince recruits they actually won’t be spending any of their life in Lubbock, Texas.
  10. Rumor has it Tech is spending their full $20.5 million allotment from the House settlement on Micah Hudson’s chauffeur service
  11. Any time we want to pay a player $1 million post-House, the Texas One Fund should Venmo 1670 OTF OGs $599. All 1670 of us can then Venmo the player $599. Foolproof
  12. Gotta be Lil Jordan. That effort play against OU was epic
  13. Yes, even Cam Newton needed an offensive line. I’m not sure how many pros that O line put out, but I found a publication that rated them a top 5 unit preseason, and Auburn had a 1000 yd back, 800 yd back and ~400 yd back that year, indicating the o line wasn’t a slouch.
  14. What I mean is you can throw an average catcher out there with a world beating pitcher and the results would be very similar to having an all star catcher. What I’m saying is that no position in team sports comes as close to “being able to do it on their own” as pitcher. QB, for instance, obviously needs his line to hold up. I’d also argue a QB needs at least one above average receiving threat to truly carry a team.
  15. What is the single most valuable position in all of team sports? I think it is pitcher in softball. In baseball and softball, defense can theoretically be (almost) reduced to one player: pitcher. Sure, you need the catcher, too. However, I’d argue the catcher’s job is relatively trivial until you have baserunners. So if the pitcher does his or job perfectly and is “unhittable”, I’d argue only an average to below average performance is required from the catcher and other defenders. Softball pitchers can pitch much more often than baseball pitchers, enhancing their value relative to baseball pitchers. Adding to this, pitchers (particularly softball pitchers) can also significantly contribute on the other side of the ball (unlike QBs in football, for instance). In other words: Tech’s $1M for Canady was well spent. What do y’all think?
  16. Our struggles against quality competition on the road, the SEC teams not looking great overall in post season so far, then the potential quick flameout against a system school. All of that makes the “favorable schedule” argument for the regular season SEC title sound more fitting to me.
  17. To get owned 0-3 by a system school on your home field?
  18. This is almost as bad, maybe even worse, than TAMU’s fate in baseball this year. At least Vandy and other SEC schools choked to provide some cover
  19. Sly move by the Aggies to announce that while all of their fans are distracted hate watching Texas
  20. Another factor when comparing success of college HCs and NFL HCs: college HCs have to literally win the commitment of their players. Pro HCs literally get lucky sometimes with guys falling into their lap, which is true for Brady and Belichick more than any player in NFL history. Even if VY was the only reason for Mack’s championship (he wasn’t), Mack still literally had to recruit and earn VY’s commitment, and deserves credit at least for that. Belichick was just the lucky schmuck who took a 6th round flier on a chubby QB from Michigan.
  21. Mack was 6-9 vs Bob Stoops. That is not as lopsided as it feels to you. That’s 2 games not going your way away from 8-7. What’s your opinion on Kirby Smart (owned by Saban) or Ryan Day (owned by Michigan), then? Dabo Swinney was getting owned by Jimbo Fisher until he wasn’t. Jim Harbaugh was getting owned by tOSU until he wasn’t. Just because a coach is not Saban-level dominant (which is video game level dominant), does not mean he’s not a good coach. Mack finished the 2 seasons prior to VY stepping foot on campus with 11 wins and in the top 10 in the country. He may have been on the verge of being fired like you say (highly doubt it). If he was, that’s not an indictment of him. That’s an indictment of out of touch fans like you.
  22. So Mack is has had 26 winning seasons to 8 .500 or below seasons without Vince. No coach’s success is more tied to one player than Belichick.
