  1. That’s what I saw as well and what I’m worried about. Oregon and Ohio State have two of the best WR corps in the nation.
  2. Do you not think it will be problematic if he plays at yesterday’s level against Oregon or Ohio State?
  3. Are you a player or a coach for the Texas Longhorns? Then yeah, don’t look ahead. I am a fan on a fan message board- literally no consequence from me “looking ahead”. The ironic thing is you are poo-pooing me for “looking ahead” past ASU, when your whole original comment was downplaying/potentially underestimating ASU. You see the irony there, right?
  4. Must not have read my whole comment, where I said “particularly the winner of Oregon/Ohio State”. Also, we hopefully have 2 more games after ASU. Everyone left in the bracket except ASU and Boise are more talented than Clemson and have the athletes to attack Muhammad if he doesn’t play better than he did yesterday
  5. I agree mostly. The alarming thing is when Clemson started attacking him with back to back big gains. Hopefully it is a good thing- as Rod B and others say, sometimes the best thing that can happen is winning while playing bad. Things to coach up and fix. I think he needs to play significantly better vs Oregon or Ohio State if we get there. I do have confidence that he can play better
  6. It’s not been just one game. Saw him get beat several times in other games in critical situations. In our regular season game vs UGA, score was 23-15 and we had them 3rd and 10. Muhammad allowed the conversion to Arian Smith. One other critical example I can think of from the season, but there have been more. He’s been good overall, not saying he’s not. But he needs to play better vs Oregon/Ohio State caliber of teams if we get there.
  7. The teams we play next will be coming after him, particularly the winner of Oregon/tOSU if we get there. I’m worried about our defense next year if he’s the best CB we have coming back. Seems to have regressed a little from last season. Sophomore slump?
  8. “Never let him visit anywhere”? I think you’re vastly overrating Texas’ ability to control that. Visiting more than one school is just the smart thing to do.
  9. I think the bigger question is if Texas is interested in him. And I think the answer is no. By all accounts the TE(s) Texas will target in the portal are inline TEs that are also assets in the run game. Robinson took like 1 inline snap at USC. Basically a jumbo WR
  10. Lane Kiffin maybe? Idk, dude will be fired on the spot next year if he stays this year and loses to Michigan next year, that’s for sure.
  11. I don’t think you’re reading that right. If Day loses a consecutive home game in round one, the chance of him getting fired is over 50%
  12. Yeah feel very bad for him. I would not draft a RB with an ACL injury like the Panthers did
  13. ESPN traded TNT some games like this and other things in exchange for the "Inside the NBA" show that used to be on TNT (on ESPN now). From what I understand I still think it is ESPN broadcast team and what not, just will air on TNT (so TNT gets viewership, revenue, etc).
  14. Greg McElroy literally said the committee “went down a rabbit hole on prioritizing win-loss records that they were too far down the rabbit hole to put 9-3 Bama in over 11-2 SMU” These analysts need a reset. Let’s get back to the basics. This is about wins and losses, ultimately. This FPI, SOS, SOR, etc. crap is really for the birds. In the age of the 12 team playoff, these acronym arguments are for the teams Bama that know they screwed up by losing too many games. Booger McFarland said “we know what it’s like in the SEC and Big10, but that’s difficult to quantify and to have others appreciate”. It’s difficult to quantify because it’s an OPINION. Just win. Jesus Christ
  15. I think Quinn should be our QB between the 20s and Arch should be featured much more heavily in the red zone. If Arch picks up 5 yds on first down in the redzone, keep him in there for at least one more play!
  16. Captain Cope brings up Texas’ DT draft record back to 2010 and UGA’s record in the last 3 years. Wouldn’t Texas and UGA’s DT draft record last year be a little more meaningful? Why doesn’t he bring that up? Let’s take a look: Texas DTs in first two rounds of 2024 draft: 2, including #1 UGA: 0 Oh, I see. What about DTs projected in the top 10 of the 2025 draft? Texas: 1, maybe 2 UGA: 0 Oh my.
  17. That was my thought. He doesn’t really count as a “veteran”. Doesn’t seem better than a HS recruit
  18. Arguably Quinn’s best and worst trait (depending on context) is his calm demeanor. At worst, in the quiet home environment I think Quinn can be TOO calm, not enough urgency. At best, I think the buzz in a “tough” road environment prevents Quinn from getting “too calm”, and he is an ideal level of composed with an intact sense of urgency from the raucous environment. The one caveat here is that Quinn showed in the TAMU game a proneness for hero ball. He needs to cut that crap out. End every drive in a kick. We have an elite defense. Arguably THE elite defense in CFB.
  19. An interesting thing to consider- big time decommitments can probably cause way more aftershocks in recruiting in the NIL era. Losing big recruits frees up NIL money so larger offers can go out to other recruits.
  20. A 16 team playoff would only have two more playoff games than a 14 team playoff. If you got rid of conference championship games with the 16 team format, we would effectively have two less games overall compared to a 14 team playoff + CCGs (+2 playoff games, -4 CCGs). And that’s just counting the P4 CCGs
  21. You forgot the sarcasm font
  22. This is exactly my point, and why I think we should never go to 16 teams. The sport is better with conference championship games. It is part of the CFB tradition, pageantry and connection to history. These things are a large part of what make college football great. The CFP is a necessary, corporate evil. We are gradually throwing pieces of what make CFB great in the trash. We are introducing some new exciting things, like championship hopes lasting longer into the season. However, there should be a line in the sand for us to retain the classics while improving on them.
  23. If it was a 14 team playoff with 2 byes, this is literally the way it would work 99.999% of the time. Right now, the top 4 conference champions get the bye. The top 2 conference champions will almost always, if not always, be the Big10 and SEC champs. So if there were 2 byes, they would almost invariably go to Big10 and SEC champs.
  24. Still don’t like it. I think 14 teams with top 2 getting byes is better than this.
