  1. Texas kept it close until the 4th. And yet I’m sure the excuse will be that Georgia’s overall margin of victory was higher against us. It’s completely disingenuous, but they’ve already decided that Texas is not getting in under any circumstance.
  2. Stacy Searels? Been there, done that, no thanks.
  3. Joey McGuire is a mid football coach of a mid football program who was given a blank check to purchase success. It’s really that simple. Everyone outside of Lubbock knows this to be true.
  4. Certainly fits this staff’s physical profile for a starting corner. Don’t know much else about him though.
  5. Let’s hope we channel these funds into a badass portal WR.
  6. You’re not wrong, but also unclear what the market is going to look like.
  7. Very experienced. Played well against competition that included Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, JMU, and Memphis.
  8. I didn’t realize he had been a freshman all-American at UW. Seems like a great stopgap option while Atkinson and Barnes develop.
  9. He’s pretty small for the SEC. Jalen Catalon minus 25 pounds.
  10. It’s a smart move. If they think he can have a similar type of immediate impact to Jeremiah Smith or Cam Coleman, they might get a huge ROI paying him Terry money compared with paying a Coleman type portal player $3M+.
  11. I actually agree. He’s been awesome but doesn’t have elite change of direction or the ability to make guys miss.
  12. Never forget that Tim Brando once said Scott Frost would the most impactful D1 head coach since Saban was hired by Alabama.
  13. This is my point. Not sure what he adds that Mosley doesn’t already provide. If you’re gonna go to the portal, go full Cam Coleman or not at all.
  14. He’s really good, but if the top 5-7 WRs all return and Royal reclassifies to 26 and enters with Bishop, would Texas still take a big-time receiver out of the portal? Seems like that would create the potential for major attrition. Not saying it’s a bad thing—I think Sark NEEDS to upgrade at receiver—just wondering what it all means for the receiver room dominoes.
  15. On its face, yes it is clearly a harder schedule overall. But context matters. Everyone thought OU’s schedule was borderline impossible this year, but they faced a bunch of overrated bums. We are lucky that we will face so many first-year coaches. My big question is how well we load up in the portal. If we can beef up the LOS on both sides of the ball and fill some key gaps, I really like our chances.
  16. Hopefully Sark will open up all positions to competition and bring in a bona fide badass RB. I know he loves his guys, but Baxter just isn’t the same after his injury.
  17. On the one hand, A&M has played no one since Notre Dame all year. They have not been tested by a very good team with equal or better talent. Texas has—several times—and is probably better prepared for this game as a result. Texas is also a very different team at home. I think Texas should be able to move the ball against that overrated A&M D. But I worry about which Texas D is going to show up. We haven’t seen a dominant Texas D for over a month. In the end, however, I think our battle-tested toughness and home field advantage win out, even though my head says A&M. 48-45 Texas. The sheep-humpers turn tail back to Dead Dog Field in shame, another failed attempt to win the SEC.
  18. Good. Let him be confined to dead dog field where he can commune with all his dead dog friends while all the milkmen prance around their fire praying to their dead dog and sheep gods.
