  1. Gerry’s currently sitting outside DKR with his binoculars.
  2. 247 just put in a crystal ball for Endries to Texas!
  3. Peña primarily plays the slot. Now that we have Mosley, Moore, and McCutcheon in the slot, seems very unlikely we would target Pena. Too bad because I think he is definitely better than Mosley.
  4. Ah, bummer. Forgot about the intra-SEC transfer rules. Won’t be able to target him.
  5. Seems like the sort of guy we might want to kick the tires on.
  6. Seems unlikely we’d go after him, no? We are stacked at DB.
  7. Surely not. He seems like a productive, reliable receiver but clearly does not fill the speed void in the WR room.
  8. You know what’s incredible? The OTF staff has put together the best, most informative content site for UT sports that is also somehow also entirely devoid of toxicity. I’ve been around OB, 247, IT, and about half a dozen others over the last 20 years and almost every other board has become totally miserable to visit. I love that here you can just come to talk about Texas sports, full stop. This is by far the best online Texas sports community. Thanks for everything, OTF!
  9. Even though he was a dynamic pass rusher at Stanford, he was never a 3-down starter. He played fewer snaps (by almost 100) than Trey Moore last season. With Simmons likely taking an increasing share of those snaps at Buck, seems unlikely Bailey would have gotten the higher snap count that he wants.
  10. FWIW, 247 has put in crystal balls for Bailey to Tech.
  11. One of your competitors just published a video in which they described Bailey as a “backup” and compared him to Ovie Oghoufo and Ben Davis as an edge prospect. On a scale of one to ten, how laughable is that assessment of David Bailey?
  12. He’s really, really good. I’m guessing with Trey Moore moving to OLB and Vasek constantly injured, the coaches want to have a third top-tier edge to complement Burke and Simmons. Right now our experienced depth (Burke, Simmons) is thinner at edge than it was last year (Moore, Simmons, Burke, Sorrell). Having Bailey, Burke, and Simmons as our top-3 would be a pleasant update.
  13. VY was about 5-10 years ahead of his time in the NFL. It’s remarkable to think about how good he could have been in the right system in today’s game.
  14. Ah, fair enough. In that case, I agree with you! He shares a lot of the same qualities.
  15. This is a bizarre overreaction. Nothing about his experience thus far suggests that Moore will be chronically injured like JWhitt.
  16. I think OU’s horrid performance on the field last year is going to have most of us severely underestimating them this year. I think they are going to be sneaky good. Their DL is going to be one of the best in the SEC, which I think our new OL could have serious problems against. Im not sure they are going to put up many points against us, but they should be improved on offense. I would pick us to win today, but I could easily see them going 8-4 or 9-3. Their schedule next year isn’t as hard as it looks on paper.
  17. The knock on Big Al was always that he didn’t always turn it on. His effort and production rarely matched his talent the first few years. From everything being reported so far, Terry is the polar opposite: he appears to be one of the hungriest young players on the team. Terry is also a bigger freak than Collins, even though Collins is a natural freak in his own way. I suspect Terry is going to bite as a pup much stronger and much more often than Big Al did.
  18. Golden with a 4.30 🤯🤯🤯 Dude is making himself $$$$
  19. Ouch. He ain’t wrong though. It was pretty bold of Blue and Bond to claim they could beat X.
  20. Yeah agreed. Blue was getting a lot of J Gibbs comps, but Gibbs had much better college production and ALSO ran a 4.36. Feels like Blue needed to at least match that.
