  1. The reports are that right now Sayin has been letting pressure turn into turnovers. That’s not going to be a winning formula against THIS pass rush.
  2. This can mean a lot of things. How do you interpret his response based on body language, context, etc?
  3. @Gerry Hamilton isn’t the word that he has some sort of ankle injury? I can’t believe that’s held him out so long during fall camp.
  4. I think he can give this team some of what JWhitt provided in 2023: toughness, downfield blocking, a reliable target on 3rd down who can get to the chains. But he’s also bigger than JWhitt, so he can also offer a big target in the red zone to make the contested catches. We don’t necessarily need him to be a deep threat, because Wingo, Moore, and Livingstone are already filling that role. Mosley adds several capabilities that don’t exist elsewhere on the roster.
  5. It’s not unlike UT’s situation. The narrative is that Texas is replacing 4 starters, which is true technically speaking. But LT Trevor Goosby filled in for an injured Kelvin Banks during Texas’s key stretch of games against A&M, Georgia, and Clemson. So he has been battled tested and looked awesome. Cole Hutson replaces Jake Majors at C, but Hutson started several games his freshman year and played heavily at RG last year. The only two players with limited starting or playing experience are at LG (a senior) and RT (RS freshman 5-star). So the notion that Texas is replacing 4/5 starters and is young at OL is definitely a misconception. The key will be whether this line gels as well as last year’s.
  6. I think KJ will start at least one year. If Sark can get Dia on the Arch timeline, I could see KJ starting two full seasons. I’m that high on him, even with Dia having much higher upside.
  7. In this scenario, it would be best to lose at OSU and Florida. That would mean Texas would build toward wins against OU, Georgia, and A&M. The narrative would instantly shift about Texas if it beats Georgia, and it would also mean that Texas would be undefeated since Week 5. It would have a strong case for both the SEC championship and would be an extremely hot team going. Into the playoffs.
  8. Now that VY is back in town, Bohls is scared to step out of line again.
  9. Gotta get a Bobby-themed corndog and mayo set in the style of Bijan Mustardson.
  10. Any of Bobby’s jumbo-sized hats for sale?
  11. The NCAA has the chance to do the funniest thing to OU’s season.
  12. What I love about this is how much upside this Texas team has. No other team in the country has any more compelling case to be #1 at this point, but arguably no other team has more upside than Texas does either. Not only does Texas potentially have the best defense in the country, but it has a ton of young talent and possible Heisman candidate QB on offense. All this data suggests Texas has a great shot to at least make the playoff. Much like OSU last year, however, we might also be a team nobody wants to face once we get there.
  13. That’s why I’m predicting they’ll go 9-3. Their D should be excellent, which should keep them in pretty much every game. Michigan, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Mizzou…fools gold that OU should spank.
  14. OSU put up 21 points of offense in the Cotton Bowl. I have a very hard time seeing y’all scoring more than that against this D (which by all accounts might be even better than last year’s #3 scoring D) in Sayin’s first college start. Not saying it won’t be a close game, but if OSU puts up 31 yall might be destined to win it all again.
  15. I think they lose to Texas, Bama, and LSU but win the rest. Those UM and Auburn games will tell us a LOT about what to expect from this OU team.
  16. OU goes 9-3 and Venables saves his job, but A&M goes 6-6 and Elko’s seat gets extremely hot.
  17. In terms of players who I’ve enjoyed watching the most, definitely have to group Bijan, Banks, Worthy, Simmons, Jahdae, Sweat and Hill in their own category as some of the all-time greats to ever grace the 40 Acres.
  18. Roschon Johnson. He helped build the foundation of Sark’s culture at Texas and, for my money, was the toughest SOB who has played under Sark at Texas. JWhitt is #2 for similar reasons.
  19. No doubt. I bet it’s incredibly low-scoring. Feels very unlikely that UM is gonna roll out a freshman QB in Norman against that OU D and is actually gonna score points. How OU is able to move the ball on offense in that game is gonna tell us a LOT about that team’s ceiling.
  20. Make no mistake: OU will be dangerous. Our offense had better grow up quick, because their DL could give our OL and Arch nightmares. I’m not sold on their O, especially against our D. But they can’t possibly be as horrible as they were last year. It’s gonna be close in Dallas.
  21. Waiting for @Joe Zura to make a “Gerry is an Aggie” joke 👀
