    He has more experience than Gideon. Sark coached with him at USC, so clearly he feels comfortable with the guy. He’s been a college DBs coach since 2017, roughly the same as Gideon. He’s coached at the same types of schools as Gideon (FAU, Illinois, WKU, Ole Miss). So, no, I don’t think it’s a downgrade—he and Gideon feel very similar. Plus, Sark can personally vouch for him. I’ll trust Sark on this.

    DeAndre Moore surprised at times this year with explosive plays and had a knack for reaching the end zone. He also had great chemistry with Arch. I’m not sure he’s Matthew Golden 2.0, but he might surprise us all with how he elevates his game in 2025.

    This. Apparently his girlfriend attends Oregon and the rumor is Oregon is offering $1.5M. I think he’d be smart to come here, since he’d be WR1 for Arch. We don’t even know what Dante Moore is as a qb right now. But he probably is Oregon bound if he portals.

    They should seriously pursue Coogan. He’s an upgrade at center over anyone they have and he would be a stabilizing veteran presence for this young OL. It also would allow Flood to allow Neto, DJ, and Hutson to have a genuine competition for the two guard spots.

    I get what you’re saying, but they did bring in the USC guard. So I’m not sure that’s necessarily true this year.

    I agree with this take. My biggest concern is that Hutson simply has not developed into a plus player. Going from Majors to Hutson without a true competition gives me nightmares. Flood loves him some Cole Hutson, and that makes me think he already has a leg up on Robertson and Cruz.

    The rich get richer! The OTF team is hands down the best collection of Texas football analysts in the business. I’ve followed Jeff’s work for years, and he is going to elevate an already elite product.

    Yep. It definitely seemed to help ASU, just like it clearly helped TCU when Wiley transferred there. This is a very underrated element in the transfer.

    That’s actually a very fair list. I’m not sure I would have Nussmeier at 1, but that’s just me. I would have Lagway, Manning, and Sellers at 1-3.

    I agree but he actually got better in recent years. Before, it was like nails on a chalkboard—interrupting everyone, talking in the loudest monotone, and rambling on with weird NBA analogies. But he became much more listenable.

    @Bobby Burton @CJ Vogel We all know that Sark loves his speed WRs. There’s really nobody on campus in that Bond/Worthy mold and they’re not aggressively pursuing anyone like that in the portal. As you noted on the livestream tonight, they’ve suddenly brought in a bunch of bigger bodies. Do you think that Sark has watched his smaller, speedy receivers struggle to get open against more physical SEC defenses and made a philosophical change to emphasize bigger receivers for that reason?

    Say what you will about Aggie, but they are going all-in on revamping their WR room. I guess Sark and the coaches are content with what they have on campus? I love our talent but I am a bit surprised. We don’t have much experience or the speed receiver that Sark usually covets.
