  1. Texas Offers EDGE Ezekiel Ayangbile *** Texas has offered 2027 Langham Creek edge rusher Ezekiel Ayangbile on Tuesday morning. Steve Sarkisian, Kenny Baker and Jeff Banks delivered the good news Tuesday morning to Ayangbile in person at Langham Creek. Ayangbile has been on campus to Texas multiple times, once for the April 28th Fan Day, and again for the June 1st Elite Day in 2025. *** Additionally, Texas offered OLB Jhadyn Nelson at Langham Creek as well. Nelson, a 6-foot-3-inch, 210-pound edge rusher and line backer reported the offer the same time as Ayangbile. Over the last week, Nelson has received offers from Miami, Mississippi State, SMU, Houston, Nebraska, TCU and Texas Tech.
  2. One less school to consider when it comes down to the 2 mega conferences. Cool with me.
  3. There has been mention of wanting to find someone if the right fit becomes available. I think the ultimate answer is already on campus.

  7. 2027 California WR Receives Visit From Mark Orphey *** Texas corners coach Mark Orphey is on the road in California Monday afternoon. Orphey made a stop in Irvine this morning to meet with 2027 WR Ty Johnson out of Crean Lutheran High. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound receiver currently holds 20 offers and the Longhorns have long been in the hunt here. Johnson attended the Texas-Kentucky game in 2024 at DKR, and has been on campus plenty of times. Before moving moving to the west coast, Johnson attended Lampasas High School about an hour north of Austin. He spent his freshman and sophomore seasons at Lampasas. Orphey stopped by to see Johnson and continue the Texas relationship, which to Johnson is still improving. "I would say our relationship is kinda small, but I definitely want to build a better relationship because I am very interested in Texas," Johnson told OTF. Johnson said he is very interested in getting back to Texas for a visit here in the spring. Texas has yet to offer so far in the recruitment. Notable Offers include: Arizona State Arkansas Georgia Oregon TCU Texas Tech UCLA Washington Wisconsin
  8. Texas had a Quad 1 win bumped down to Quad 2. The win over Georgia is now viewed as a Q2 victory fwiw.
  9. Texas comes in at 39 on the latest NET ratings.
  10. Texas is back to the last four in of Joe Lunardi's latest projection. At Auburn and at Oklahoma are on the slate for this week. Two winnable games. Four ranked wins on the season for Texas. Four Quad 1 wins as well.
  11. I stick with my fellow short kings.
  12. He has been spectacular this season. The ultimate example of "doing whatever it takes to stay in the league" type of guy.
  13. Wingz Up up here in ATX is on the menu. Best wings in the city!
  14. Mentioned this last week. Seaton to LSU is official now. They’re going to be an issue.
  15. Chris Jackson at Pflugerville Weiss. Jordan Frohock pictured above. Tre Moore also was on campus last week for the junior day.
  16. The plan for Jonah is to get to live at bats next week. Folks are excited about Jonah's contributions to the diamond this year. He is fully healthy, by the way.
  17. By the way, Jonah being “a week away” is not due to injury, but just getting back to seeing college level pitching after being away for football in the fall.
  18. Adrian Rodriguez “is on track to comeback from his hand surgery.” He is not swinging a bat yet, but should be soon. Jonah Williams is not playing in games on offense just yet, but is about a week away from being a full go, says Schloss.
  19. Weiner will call pitches once more in 2026. Schloss says Carson Tinney has begun learning the staff a bit more behind the plate, and has even improved lately given there’s finally a batter’s eye.
  20. Schloss says Texas was a little heavier in the portal this cycle than maybe they wanted to be considering the late start in the 2025 cycle. Says there were days of 7 am to midnight for about three weeks to find the guys they needed for the roster.
  21. Schloss on Crossland: “heck of a pitcher… has really gotten better under Max (Weiner).” Sam Cozart “is a strike thrower.” Brody Walls, Mccurnin, Mike Winter all mentioned as well.
