  2. 2026 DB Davon Benjamin to Announce Commitment August 2nd Westlake Village Oaks Christian DB Davon Benjamin has a decision date coming at the beginning of August. The OTF 4-star++ is set to announce his decision August 2nd. Michigan, Oregon, Washington and Texas have been the big players in this recruitment, with Oregon being the pace setter over the last month or so. Texas is firmly in the fight for the talented west coast playmaker. Benjamin officially visited the Longhorns on June 6 and is currently the only uncommitted defensive back on the board the Longhorns are recruiting at the moment.
  3. I like Heze Kent a lot. That’s a solid grab by Florida.
  4. Not sure if they have enough room for all of those
  5. I was in a conversation earlier today with a buddy about Mateer and his legs. He was three yards shy of reaching 200 yards against Texas Tech in a 21 point win last year. He can scoot lol, also speaks on the TTU defense.
  6. Those mannequins mentioned above have been replaced by a Big 12 Championship trophy, Sugar Bowl trophy and hardware won by Longhorns over the last few years.
  7. The immediate entrance to Moncrief. The lobby used to have mannequins with the current and former jerseys of the Texas Longhorn football teams on display as well.
  8. The inside of the Texas Football facility has been under construction since the conclusion of spring football and it appears as though work has neared a conclusion. Photos from x/40__degrees show some revamping of the entrance to the Texas facility – I will share in the comments. Texas is also revamping the locker room as well. Players wrapped up their spring season and were immediately asked to remove all items from their lockers so construction and work could get started in new renovations.
  9. Well done @thatdude2 haha. I think Mateer is a good football player. He is a gamer, games are great in college football. FWIW, I bet Mateer's rushing numbers don't drop too much. OU will need to take any and all offense they can get in 2025 and cutting off a source of great production is something that would be a huge mistake imo
  10. Yes. Alamo Bowl and the Sugar Bowl
  11. They should be very fun this year, again, if Lagway is healthy.
  12. DeBoer should not be lower than Lanning or Sarkisian on any big list when he is a combined 5–0 against both of them. (2–0 vs. Sark and 3–0 vs. Lanning). He is agreat coach.
  13. We are 50 days away from the season beginning and the takes are only beginning. Some of my current stances on SEC programs ahead of the start of the season. Tried to keep everything in one sentence for a quick take at each school. *** ALABAMA: DeBoer is the 2nd best coach in the SEC, Bama will bounce back with a QB who can throw now. ARKANSAS: Bowl eligibility would be a total gift. AUBURN: Another 7 loss season loading. FLORIDA: I believe in Lagway, if and only if, he is 100% healthy. Very underrated trench play. GEORGIA: Not a believer in the quarterback. I could see three regular season losses in 2025. KENTUCKY: Basketball starts Oct. 24. LSU: Brian Kelly has severely underperformed, but can Nuss carry the load this fall? We’ll see MSST: The best home slate of any team in the country. Maybe steal a game? Doubtful. MIZZOU: Middle of the road team. 7–5. OLE MISS: a soft program despite talent. Simmons will surprise OU: Big fan of Mateer - he is heartbeat of the team. Team will go as far as the OL in a hot seat year for Venables. SCAR: Repeat of 2024, miss CFP by 2-3 spot. TENN: Every thing is in place to be a talented team, except the QB position. Just run the ball. TEXAS: Enough talent to be a CFB team regardless if Arch lives up to hype or not. TEXAS A&M: Should be a top-10 defense every year. I don’t buy the QB, and believe the fit at OC is holding back. VANDY: a 2nd bowl eligible season in a row would be a huge W
  14. CJ Vogel also says Texas will beat Ohio State.
  15. In regards to the class rankings and recruiting at this point in the summer.
  16. We are happy to have you! Welcome to OTF! I hope you are able to enjoy your time with us!
  17. Plus Arch & Taaffe in 16. Love it
  18. He was always interesting. It just sounded like Texas liked other prospects more. I think the offer list speaks more to the recruiting ranking as well. I last checked in with him in the spring and there was little to no contact from anyone at Texas.
  19. Sam cosmi was such a fun player for Texas
  20. I am not saying don't recruit good players. Top 100 players in the class: 2024: 6 2025: 10 2026: 6... in July. Texas will get close to that 10% number of the top-100 like they did in the No.1 class last year.
  21. Texas may be passed the point of freshmen coming in and starting immediately. As good as Colin Simmons was coming in a year ago, he only played 20 snaps week two vs. Michigan. How many true freshmen are set to start in 2025? I would argue none. Texas is deep. Now, that mean they won't contribute and find the rotation. But, ultimately Texas has done such a fine job building the roster and finding pieces via the portal there isn't (and shouldn't) be a need for immediate freshmen to start/play big roles.
  22. He's a stud. Very quick first step, though a tad undersized. OU had the buzz earlier in the summer. Florida was threatening as well.
  23. Easton's a total stud. Five-star talent, no doubt. Ran 10.3 in the spring while placing second in Louisiana. I saw Royal in person after the Texas offer arrived in the spring. There is an early attraction to the Florida schools for Royal – UF, FSU, and Miami. In fact, an FSU coach was at Brother Martin the afternoon that I was there. Royal grew up traveling to Florida often for youth football and some of those stops resulted in campus stops and beach trips which caught his liking. Texas was a bit of an unknown at the time this spring, but this is one where if he gets to campus for a game, it should not be a surprise. He would be a star in the Sark offense given what Texas had produced at the WR spot recently.
  24. Which kid in particular? I was planning on posting a 27 offense and defense board for later in the week as well.
