Bang! Add five more stars to the 2026 class for the Texas Longhorns! 2026 North Crowley OT John Turntine III has committed to Steve Sarkisian and Kyle Flood over Michigan, Stanford and Texas A&M. Turntine has been atop of the Longhorns' big board essentially from the start of the 2026 class. The Longhorns also hosted Turntine and his family on more visits than any other school in the recruitment. There are some questions about where Turntine may play at the next level, largely due to an unconventional frame at the moment, but the plan has been and will be to use Turntinee as a tackle. Speaking of Turntine's abilities, his punch and quickness laterally are tremendous. Won't change Georgia's pursuit of Prothro.

No change on their pursuit of Prothro. Georgia has pitched being an X/TE piece in their offense. UGA also wants 2-3 tight ends this cycle.

I think the Kreul recruitment is down to OU and UF. That could be the case, but I think the edge room would remain very healthy if only two are taken in 2026

There has been scuttlebutt regarding where Temple (Texas) EDGE Jamarion Carlton fits into the picture as of late. Form the last word that I have received, Carlton has a final decision that will see him choose finalists of Texas and the Baylor Bears. LSU hosted Carlton for an OV on May 30, though with their recent surge for Trenton Henderson the Bayou Bengals are a long shot to also win out on Carlton. I will say don't discount Baylor. The Baylor staff has done a fine job this cycle of winning some key recruitments in the CenTex region. Given where things stand in the 2026 cycle, I would be quite surprised to see the Longhorns not come out on top in this one. Carlton decides on July 10.
