Coach Robertson at East View told me the hope is to use Ejiakowo as a field side linebacker this fall. Putting him in positions to make plays in space and behind the line of scrimmage. Robertson took the job in mid-February and said the first time he saw Ejiakowo in the weight room he was repping 275 eight times on the bench press.

Stopped by Georgetown East View this AM to check on 4-star LB Tieson Ejiakowo. Ejiakowo had successful meniscus surgery on Monday and has been sidelined this spring. I was told Texas has yet to make a trip through East View this spring. Johnny Nansen did stop by in January but so far no visit from anyone on the staff in the spring.

I would expect some news this evening. Not commitment related fwiw

LaAllen Clark has done a fine job of keeping Texas within arms reach here. He deserves a lot of credit in this recruitment. Carlton also spoke very highly of his history of high level EDGE development.

Texas is keeping tabs on DB Jason Bradford, who is currently committed to Oklahoma State. Texas mentioned wanting to see him live in-person one more time at a camp this summer. Though I view it as unlikely at the moment.

Texas EDGE coach LaAllen Clark made the trip to Temple twice in the last seven days with the focus on getting an OV set for EDGE Jamarion Carlton. Right now, a Texas remains a focus for Carlton and I’d put it at likely Texas gets one. All about finding a date that works with his schedule.

Chad Scott has offered a new 2026 running back. Carsyn Baker of Langston Hughes High in Fairborn, Georgia reported an offer this afternoon from the new Longhorn RB coach. Baker, a 6-foot-2-inch RB, claims a 10.61 time in the 100m this year. Baker visited Ohio State April 8th and has received offers in the past week from Texas, Oregon State, and East Carolina.

Last day of spring ball for temple today, so a lot of mini games between position rooms and each side of the ball. Jamarion Carlton went 1on1 against some OL in routes. Pretty good stuff lol

DB Jason Bradford — playing mostly nickel or box safety so far today. A year ago, Bradford was almost exclusively at outside cornerback.

UPDATE: Friday (Noon) First stop is over in Fort Worth at Crowley High for their college testing day. Home to 2027 elite WR Antayvious Ellis and 27 OL Alexander Herrera — both visited in the spring. Ellis holds an offer. (Thursday 12:00 p.m.) OTF is at North Crowley High School for a Thursday practice to see 5-star OT John Turntine III in action *** OTF is on hand for a Tuesday afternoon practice at Temple High. Checking in on the status of 2026 EDGE Jamarion Carlton and whether or not an official visit has been scheduled for the month of June. Carlton visited Austin for the second scrimmage of the spring but arrived for the backend of the recruiting afternoon. Also at Temple is 2026 Oklahoma State DB commit Jason Bradford. Texas nickels coach Keynodo Hudson stopped by last week to check on both prospects.

Texas has offered 2027 EDGE Ricardo Parker out of Pratville High School in Alabama. The Longhorns become the first SEC offer for Parker and just the second offer overall after Troy offered back in January. Parker is listed at 6-foot-3-inches and 290 pounds currently. The Texas staff remains on the road this week.
