  2. 2026 New Boston RB Ashton Rowden tells OTF that he has been in contact with Texas running back coach Chad Scott recently. Rowden said he is familiar with Scott, and that there was a conversation about a week ago where Texas was checking in on the New Boston four-star back. The 5-foot-11-inch running back holds 24 offers at the moment, and took four official visits in the month of June: May 30: TCU June 6: Texas Tech June 13: Minnesota June 20: Houston As far as I know, there was no visit conversation, but Rowden certainly becomes a name to monitor on the trail.
  3. Ole Miss QB Austin Simmons looked good this afternoon. Baylor QB Sawyer Robertson might have my favorite arm through day one. It just jumps off his arm. I’ve been skeptical of Sam Leavitt and his actual arm itself, but he checked every box in the first throwing session for the counselors. Good rhythm, timing.
  4. Chopped it up a bit with OU QB John Mateer — I covered him at a Little Elm practice back when he was committed to Central Arkansas. He joked a bit about my OTF hat. Good kid. It’s going to be a fun battle in Dallas this year.
  5. Haven’t seen Arch for some of the pre-camp throwing by the college quarterbacks. Im sure he’s had enough Eli/Peyton throwing lessons in his life.
  6. They like having just one camper per school. Last year was an exception for Texas. But basically just QB1's are invited.
  7. What’s a trip to Louisiana with an instant rain storm..
  8. Thank you much. Should be a fun weekend. Plenty of big arms in attendance and familiar faces. Excited to update.
  9. They’ve got a dunk tank! Im sure we’ll see Peyton in here before camp’s end
  10. Soon Arch will be on the family photo
  11. We have made it to Thibodaux, Louisiana! Nicholls State has done some fine renovations since I was here last year.
  12. Fair point. But there is an all-conference-level player in the room at the very least.
  13. Who else would be last? Again, I don’t believe the room is bad. I just don’t have an argument for it over any other room on the roster currently.
  14. I ended up at a great seafood spot last year after one of the longest days I’ve ever had during the MPA 2024. Going to try to hit it again this year
  15. I tell ya, the Cajun Dome could use a face lift lol I really do like Louisiana. New Orleans, Lafayette, Thibodeaux/Houma where the camp is. I've not spent a lot of time in Baton Rouge before but for the most part I have really enjoyed my trips to The Boot.
  16. 2025 Manning Passing Academy Camp Counselors Drew Allar, Penn State Luke Altmyer, Illinois Rocco Becht, Iowa State Taylen Green, Arkansas Mark Gronowski, Iowa Walker Howard, Louisiana Kevin Jennings, SMU Avery Johnson, Kansas State Cade Klubnik, Clemson Sam Leavitt, Arizona State Gio Lopez, North Carolina Arch Manning, Texas John Mateer, Oklahoma Fernando Mendoza, Indiana Darian Mensah, Duke Behren Morton, Texas Tech Miller Moss, Louisville Chandler Morris, Virginia Austin Novosad, Oregon Garrett Nussmeier, LSU Sawyer Robertson, Baylor Lanorris Sellers, South Carolina Blake Shapen, Mississippi State Austin Simmons, Ole Miss Ty Simpson, Alabama Gunner Stockton, Georgia Demond Williams Jr., Washington
  17. First, a stop in Lafayette. Freshly constructed press box and home sideline for the Ragin’ Cajuns. Looks great.
  18. OTF is headed to Louisiana for the 2025 Manning Passing Academy this weekend. Arch Manning will represent Texas and we will have updates throughout the week of his performance and media availabilities. Will have the thread updated during my time in Thibodeaux, Louisiana!
  19. Wisner is a really good college back. He will be RB1 this fall when Texas kicks off against Ohio State. Gibson, in theory, should be better. Ball security and trust was a clear issue a year ago. RB is the only position on the roster for 2025, that did not have a 5-star or All-Conference player on the field in 2024.
  20. I disagree with RB. Until I truly know about Baxter’s ability and contribution level I’ll remain skeptical.
