    Texas was operating at 85 scholarships this season after spending #85 on Marshall Landwehr. Three departures already are down to 82, there will obviously be plenty more. But you could realistically be looking at 50 new additions to the Longhorn roster in 2026.

    App State DL Rondo Porter entered. He is in for a pretty good pay day. Undersized by Texas' standards at just 6-foot, 295, but really solid player in 2025.

    Texas’ piggy bank $$$ for portal OL won’t be impacted by HS additions. I’ve been told they have a solid # for OL they have stashed away for when the portal opens.

    This would make a lot of sense to me. Finding a LB to add to the depth while allowing Smith, Lefau, Barnes to take priority snaps until Atkinson is ready to rock larger snap counts.

    North Carolina LB Khmori House has entered the portal. He followed Stephen Belichick from Washington to UNC a year ago and had a big time season. Sarkisian mentioned LB in the portal was an option, to what level of player, I don't know. But Texas hosted Khmori House out of HS for an official visit in June of 2023.

    Solid player. 2 INT, only 6 missed tckles Texas will be in the market for a safety. We will see what they end up doing.

    I don’t believe that combo will be your guards in 2026 one bit. Brooks will stick around, based off what I’m hearing. But portal help is the expectation at guard.

    Wooooo,some big movement this morning. A&M OC Collin Klein is headed to Kansas State for a retiring Chris Klieman. Ohio State OC Brian Hartline is headed to USF to be their next head coach.

    I would be 0% shocked if Niblett declared. He has a newborn and it's very likely this is the highest his stock will ever be considering the success he had in the return game – a place that is not easy to replicate return-luck. Go get your guaranteed NFL money while the iron is hot.

    Early in the season, Brown had some impactful moments with the offensive staff. As Texas looked to gain a rhythm in the red area, I was made aware that Brown put his fingerprints on a few areas of the Texas offense earlier in the season. This was a good hire from Sarkisian, a former head coach who had a clear strength in the running game. Texas benefitted this season as a result of Neal Brown.
