  1. The Longhorns go down in order in the top of the second. Mendoza, Galvan and Belyeu put the ball in play, but they were retired by the K-State defense.
  2. K-State with a three-run, two-hit first inning. A lot of fireworks through one.
  3. Mendoza with a nice play to retire Evasco on a ground ball to the right side.
  4. And K-State is back in the game on Seth Dardar's three-run home run.
  5. Keegan O'Connor squares one up, driving it to center field. It's first and third with one out for K-State.
  6. K-State has a runner on, with former Longhorn Dee Kennedy drawing a one-out walk against Riojas.
  7. Schloss. I'm sure he's going on little to no sleep right now.
  8. Schloss just got a verbal warning from the home-plate umpire. Schloss has been fired up from the jump.
  9. Gasparino strikes out, bringing the inning to an end. Still, it's a six-run, five-hit frame for the Longhorns. Texas is up big heading to the bottom of the first.
  10. Borba went the other way. The ball carried out over the left-field wall for Borba's 11th home run of the season. Texas has a 6-0 lead in the top of the first.
  11. James Guyette strikes out Jonah Williams. Two down with the bases loaded for Casey Borba.
  12. The scoreboard says 94, which means it's probably about 114 on the field.
  13. Schuessler is safe. Flores gets hit on the first pitch he sees, loading the bases for Jonah Williams with one out. K-State already making a pitching change.
  14. It's not bad. Most of the occupied seats are in the shade.
  15. A great defensive play by Inoue to snag a hard-hit ball by Rodriguez. Dardar dropped the ball on the flip, so Schuessler is safe for now. They're reviewing the play.
  16. FWIW, Belyeu's home run was on the first pitch he saw from Tanner Duke. Schuessler hammered the second pitch of his at-bat.
  17. Belyeu is pumped as he crosses the plate and heads back to the dugout. Texas has a 2-0 lead.
